The Reason I joined wealthy affiliate!

Hello everyone I want to speak about the reason I joined this great well put together program. You see like I mentioned in several posts before I have always wanted to be a entrepreneur for quite some time.

I took a college course on business and had a few ideas with offline businesses, but I could never get the funding for any of my ideas with the different companies that I tried in the past on getting funding for my business, but they all said even though your business plan has potential it's still too risky for our company to Fund your business with me having no experience.

So I became very frustrated and decided to try something new. Fast forward to now and I'm trying to do what it takes with a online type of business. But when I was focus on launching my ideas with a offline business, my business plan was well written and planned to open a Arcade and a Sports bar type of business. For those of you who never heard of a business called Dave and Buster's, this was the type of business that I tried to open in the small town where I live because that type of business is not available where I'm from.

But the funding cost was close to 1 Million dollars with a location and renovation and inventory and starting capital you know all the things that's involved with starting a offline business. Yet this plan did not work so now joining wealthy affiliate I realized I can have a successful online business with very low cost , no inventory, no expenses and all of that outrageous prices that comes with a offline business.

And my plan from day one is not to come up with some random niche but to form a idea that's going to be a well established online store from scratch. I got into a brief discussion earlier today with a member and I didn't like the way he came off with some of the things he was saying about my website. He said my website looks too broad and that my latest Posts didn't have anything to do with my niche. So I told him my website is based on selling Clothing Shoe's and accessories and who are you to criticize what I'm doing.

He thought I was just strictly talking about selling Clothing and shoes, he obviously didn't read everything I said which was selling Clothing, Shoe's, and accessories, with Accessories meaning bringing more to the table and being versatile to attract my audience, and if that's too broad so be it because I didn't come here to just promote a niche but to form a legitimate online store, Now don't get me wrong community I'm not disrespecting anyone or there ideas on a niche, I just feel I'm looking at the idea from a bigger picture.

I want to open a E-commerce online business In the future that's my plan, but I want to see if I can make it as a affiliate marketer first do to not having a budget yet for a E-COMMERCE business, and at the same time I'm still willing to go through the training just like everyone else because I'm eager to learn what it takes to be successful online as well as being a smart successful entrepreneur so I hope everyone enjoys reading this Thanks and Take Care!

Hi.

I agree with BooBish that the Dave and Buster's idea sounded cool. Too bad that didn't work out. As for the other stuff, you certainly sound ambitious, which is great. You have to aim high if you want to fly.

Still, when you say "who are you to criticize what I'm doing," I would suggest that (s)he is presumably the person you asked for some feedback... We get defensive sometimes when we are passionate about something and we think it's being "attacked," but please bear in mind that if someone offers advice (even if it's not asked for, or if it's something we don't want to hear) it's usually coming from a desire to help. You are certainly free to disagree with what someone says to you, especially if you think they don't understand what you are doing, but I think you should take it as well-meaning advice that it is intended to be. It's also possible that someone might say something that you hadn't considered, or which might cause you to look at things from a different point of view. That's never really a bad thing.

So, what I would say is keep going, do what you think is right because it's your business and your passion for it that will determine how well you succeed, but do try to keep an open mind when someone is merely trying to be helpful.

:)

Thanks for your comment Craig I understand where you're coming from

That arcade sports bar business idea sounded good, but yes, a million dollars is a big risk, no matter how good the business plan. Regarding your website, IMO, I think it's a good idea to go with clothing, shoes, AND accessories for men, women, AND children. However, I would narrow it to type/style. It actually looks like, based on images on your website, that there is a STYLE type you've selected or are drawn to, which is fresh, young, hip, athletic-like yet for wearing every day on the street. I don't know what "stay fitted" means, so IMHO, I would remove that phrase. Also, where it says "Fresh New Gear is a website based on selling a variety of styles....", I would revise and get rid of "variety of styles" and describe it more in terms of specific styles, as I already indicated. Otherwise, it looks promising.

Thank you for your comment Boobish I really appreciate your opinion on my website it didn't sound too judgemental and you're right about making it specific styles and also Stay Fitted means staying up to date with the latest fashion and style of clothes and shoes.

Yes, one has to be tactful when giving an opinion. Otherwise, the other person might think, "Who the BLEEP asked you?" lol And that's why there's acronyms such as IMHO (meaning in my humble opinion). I feel I have pretty good common sense when expressing my opinion and try to be specific and helpful when giving a critique.

You most certainly do
