Hi Everyone,

looking at a way to run a car on less fuel or even no fuel i.e petrol

I have looked at Hydrogen generators and what it takes to build and run one.

they can be built for very little money out of plastic pipe and stainless steel, under $100

they will produce Hydrogen gas, very volatile so care must be taken

I have made a few of these and been testing on a car 3.8 litre

while you can run an internal combustion engine ( ice) engine on hydrogen there are a few areas that most people selling these units dont tell you

Steel becomes brittle under hydrogen use so valves,exhaust need to be made of stainless

One other thing Hydrogen burns very hot, you can melt things , on 100 percent hydrogen I have melted the ends of injectors, in seconds, can not get my injected / computer controlled car to run on 100 percent hydrogen,and i have spent a year working from one issue to another

I have been able to run this car on petrol /hydrogen mix and it goes really well, starts easy ,plenty of power, gets better fuel economy .

Out the exhaust comes water form the burning gas.

I would not buy a system off anyone as you can make these simple units yourself

dont get into the hype that retailers will sell you

hydrogen generators work , but they do have a limit on gas production

they will use anywhere from 20 to 28 amps from your alternator

they can boil if too much current is put through them

they require clean distilled water and need to be cleaned and inspected often monthly

you can buy a pulse width modulator to reduce amperage by up to 50 %

place the unit in front of your radiator to help cooling
