Something I'm not understanding with Jaxxy

I'm missing something when it comes to Jaxxy and keyword research, and I'd like to understand it better before I write articles that have zero chance of being seen. If anyone could help me understand this better, I'd be very grateful for the help!
Example keyword search: Best way to get fit
This is what Jaxxy provides me with

I've highlighted the keyowrd I thinkk would be good... Low hanging fruit keyword, only 38 competitors and 7 clicks a month?. It seems really low for this niche, so I have a look on Google as a generic search term...

865,000,000 results! Whaaaa?

865 million? I'm assuming this is because it includes all kinds of variants of that phrase? Is that correct?
OK, so that deosn't strike me as a search term with a 35 QSR and 95 SEO score like Jaxxy says.
So I do what Kyle does int the training, and add the quotes. This makes it an exact search for that keyword...

This reduces the results dramatically, more than I even expected. It's still 112,000 results which to me still makes the scores look unattainable.
But Jaxxy and WA training are telling me that if I include the right keywords, the right content, the right amount of links that I can get seen on the first page for this keyword?
There's just a bit of skepticism that is starting to creep in, and I dpon't know why.
I think I'm fearful of failure, I know how much time I've set aside to make this work and I'm fearful that I'm going to put this time in for nothing.
Is what I've said above just part of what I need to do? Am I worrying for nothing and should I just get on and get writing? Perhaps I'm just looking too closely at the numbers, after all I haven't even written a post yet.
Any reassurances would be highly appreciated.
