3 Weeks Report!
Hey Guys, I have been here for 3 weeks now I really like the way that my website is taking shape. I currently have 16 articles averaging around 800 words each. I am starting to get a very slow slither of organic traffic (around 6 per day).
My site health is "awesome" and everything is 100% apart from Site Trust 0%, and feedback 70%. I also have 23 queries indexed with an average position of 24.8.
It has been far from smooth sailing. I initially wrote 12 articles using keywords in the incorrect way. I was not targeting a specific keyword and was instead just littering my article with 7-8 low QSR phrases. I left these phrases in as they made perfect sense and were only in once each, but I had to go back through each article and target a specific keyword.
Another concern I have is that the queries I am being indexed for aren't necessarily the keyword that I am targeting. I only think that I am listed for 2-3 of my targeted keywords out of 16 which is a bit concerning. Hopefully, this will improve as I keep adding content.
I have also broadened the horizon of my website. I initially only wanted to write about supplements, but as I will be writing lots and lots of articles, I realized that I would eventually run out of supplements to review. I have added fitness advice and stuff to avoid sections on my website so that I have more to talk about. I also plan to add a nutritional section along with a book review section in the future. I will also branch out into fitness and nutritional products once I exhaust supplements (probably 6 months down the road).
Some other questions I had and would like some feedback on;
> Do you think that I should eventually change the websites theme. This one does the job for now, but I think I will want to eventually move on to something more flashy.
> I want to keep ads off my product review pages, but I am considering putting them on my SEO articles. Do you think this will be a good idea?
> Do you think it is possible that Google could penalize my earlier articles as there is 7-8 keyword phrases throughout my articles. As I said earlier, they make perfect sense and no-one reading would be able to tell. Could this still be seen as keyword stuffing in Googles eyes?
> Any other feedback you have would be much appreciated!

Have a good day guys!

Hi Mark,
Nice to see your progress.
I see where you are coming from with the change of site theme. However at the moment you are better spending your efforts of creating more and more content.
Upgrading the appearance of your site with a new theme and all that comes with it will probably take up quite a lot of your time.
Definitely consider it for the future though.
Great work so far.
Hi, thanks very much for the feedback.
I definitely want to concentrate on great content at the minute.
However, just one question. Do you think it would be more difficult to switch the scheme when I have over 50 posts on my website opposed to only 17 posts now?
All the best!
I don't really think it will make much difference. I'm used to WordPress but changes to the layout of your site will be consistent when you switch.
One thing that may make a difference is if you have positioned widgets in certain areas of your content.
I would think that the positioning and styling of your widgits may cause you some appearance issues to begin with.
