If it is a subject you are passionate about and feel you are ready to write content for with the added incentive of being able to help others, you should go for it.

I have several friends that suffer from chronic depression and I even tried to cheer one up today. What a great niche and I know that it has to be a passion of yours for whatever reason and that's what will make it good. I may even do that one day.

I personally like the domain name, but it is not available in a .com. You'd have to get in in a .org, or a .net. :)

I agree with what has been said here, if you are ready to get rolling and you have decided on your niche...you should be getting your own domain. This is ideal as you OWN your domain (like real estate), it is brandable and it will grow in value like an asset as you build out your website.

You're going to want your own domain name eventually and registration is only about $10/year, so you may as well do it right from the start.

Hi Markan, If you are new to all of this then I would advise starting with a free siterubix site. Use this as a learning platform while you follow through on your lessons.

I hear sometimes problems about tranferes. My first site I started with a site rubix and trasfered it without any problems, my second site I started right away on an own domainname. I you have found your niche and are sure about the "terrific" domainname you found, you can start right away on your own domainname.
If you are doubting about the domainname to buy, you can do it later too. Think about your domainname carefully, it is going to be your brand. I always say, people have to remember it when it is printed on a car, and when they come home they must know exactly what to type into the browser:)
