Save your work often!

So I just spent 2 hours writing a post for my site and just learned a very painful lesson... The auto saves had stopped working an hour ago! When I clicked on the check grammar it reset my post to the last saved point and I have lost most of my work. There is no way for me to recover what I have lost and are going to have to do it all again.

This post is to serve as your friendly reminder to save your work manually often, especially before you click anything else!!!

Where did this happen? In site content or on your wordpress website itself?

It happened with siteContent. It was all there until I pressed check grammar

I am not using site content, although I think it is a great way to prepare your blog posts.

The reason is, it cannot post the blog to my website as draft. My theme has special options I like to use before I publish.

When I work in WordPress, it checks my spelling automatically. It also saves many backup copies of my blogs I create.

For grammar, I would recommend an external service like Grammarly.

If WA will ever update site content with the function it will not publish the article but move it to my drafts instead, I might give it a try.

Maybe someone else here can help you more with the issue you have with site content.

All the best,
Stefan

I use siteContent for the Google checker. Do you know of any other services that do this?

You mean for the double content? My posts are unique in any way, so I won't have this issue at all. :)

You can always copy paste in site content to check, but not using it for publishing.

External services as I don't need it, I have not checked that out. But I can imagine there will be some.

Sorry I can't help you with a direct answer to that.

Stefan

Thanks for your help Stefan
