Picking your niche - What if it's not a 'real niche'?
I feel that one of the first struggles someone here can have is selecting their niche. This is certainly my struggle.
Some people may not really have that one thing that they are interested in or know much about. True - that person can pick a unique niche and learn more about it, but what if it really does not interest them? What if what interests them is something that a lot of other people are interested in? Say popular sports gear such as basketball gear? Or to put it another way - something that may have a lot of competition from a 'keywords' perspective? I'm assuming they should find a way to 'narrow' down their niche to something more specific or 'specialized'. Yes... No...?
Is this a bad thing?

You can often narrow down a niche by selecting a target audience, ie. fitness for the over 50s etc. http://d.pr/i/0BZWCy :)
