Information overload
OK. Wow! My first blog post. So I have been going through the vids and training and posts from members. I have been reading websites and blogs and email lists and anything I could get my hands and eyes on.
OMG!! My brain is overloading. I am suddenly stuck on what to do, where to start and how to move on. Anybody have this problem? I think I am suffering from information overload. How do I control it? How do you deal with it? Oy!
I need someone to give me a push on the right direction.
Thanks

Hi Marcelo,
I had that problem and I think that probably everyone else has to.
What I did was to follow each course/lesson in order and just build up my site bit by bit.
I did start to dip into other courses and blogs and things and jumped around a lot, but that just got myself confused, so I really recommend taking things a step at a time.
I'm sure that others will have tips/advice as well
Wishing you luck and best wishes!
John
Hi Marcelo. I know how you feel. We have all been there. I suggest you concentrate on your courses first.
If you are at that level then concentrate on writing your posts.
You can't do everything at once. Then give yourself a certain amount of time like 30 minutes to read blogs. Don't read every blog. Just the ones that are helpful to you
Give yourself 20 minutes to answer people who follow you for example. Those are suggestion. You can do your own schedule.
It depends how much time you have. If you have enough time to do some member's training then pick one a day.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try. It's just I want to integrate so much info I get sidetracked. Like a kitten with a ball. Lol!

I followed john1812's solution and it worked pretty well. It did get to the point when I used a kitchen timer to limit the amount of time I was spending reading the discussions and responding with answers to the few questions I felt qualified to address. The other quick diversion I use is closing WA and playing three games of solitaire. By the end of the third, I am really bored so going back to WA work with a clear mind is a rewarding step.
Thanks for the reply. I'll try something similar.
