Use Mindfulness To Reduce Stress
The following are ways to practice mindfulness to reduce stress and improve concentration.
FOCUS
So at the top of the Mindfulness Triangle, sit strait in a chair, your feet on the groud, connect to the experience of how your feet make contact with the floor.
Noticing the areas of pressure and weight between your feet and the ground, the different areas of pressure between each foot. Just sit and breathe into this awareness.
GET DISTRACTED
It's likely that your mind is going to pull you away from your focus state. You'll get distracted in some way by your thought.
When you get distracted, you'll move at the right side of the triangle.
No longer connected to your point of focus. You will forget the pressure of your feet. Some time later you will notice this. You will notice that you are not fous anymore.
NOTICE
In the very moment you notice when you get distracted – you jump to the left side of the triangle because in the moment of noticing you cannot be distracted.
This NOTICE point is your path to reconnect to the pressure of your feet.
Now go back to this experience of how your feet are being pulled with the flow of gravity and just practice going around this triangle for a few minute.
This simple exercice will help to lower your daily stress.
