I write this post to express my situation!

I was more than one time troubled, it is not the first time. I try not to get distracted by the goal example: creating 20 posts.

It feels like it is a eternity the distance until to get the first traffic and nowbody is sure if this traffic will make some sells.

Writing writing writing about island Crete. Alla the top destinations are already exist (as content) I saw in my researches. What I should write about a beautiful and exotic beach area with turquoise waters and white sand?

Relax - enjoy - feel the Greek sun - drink the sun in the sunset - make it romantic with your partner etc.

And I have also difficulties with the english language, I use very often google translation and I worrie about if my content is interesting and has not any syntactical errors. Double job.

Ok, here this is it what I found, what I was looking for ...

I honestly do not want to fill this article with negativity, I just wanted to express what I am facing. The truth is that I know some of your answers, maybe it would be good to stop asking such questions and write simple articles about Crete and let my thoughts be against it.

One thing is for sure: I communicate.

Negativity is definitely not the best advisor. I'm just telling you that I'm stuck, I do not see financial results in my life! I have been searching for years and lately I have made efforts mainly on the internet but this situation continues.

I think: after 10 months or a year what will I have achieved here? Is $ 200 in sales? Or once 500? All this trouble for so much? All this effort for so far zero income?

I certainly can not blame the past efforts on WA.

Thank you all for your support so far, you are sitting and writing to me, commenting on my questions and queries. You write me solutions and tell me that you also went through this stage.

I am touched.

Good luck to everyone!

It's a long road to success, and there really aren't many shortcuts. Here at WA you are at least with like-minded people who all want to build a successful "footprint" on the internet.

Many of us get stuck now and then. As for me, I have not made a lot on here for the three years I've been involved, but I have learned a great deal, including what does not work. That makes things simpler, as it eliminates some options. Just hang in there; keep writing; keep asking questions. Hopefully you will see some good results.

Thank you everybody that you devoted your time and wrote from your heart. Everything you said is true and from your heart. It is important to communicate as this is how others can see where we are. The others ¨ can not smell their nails ¨ as we say here in Greece.

We continue and we see ...

With my best wishes to everyone!

Well here in America we have a saying. “There is no such thing as a stupid question.”

Or “there is no such thing as a negative question.” How will you know if you do not ask?

Asking questions within itself pays the way. In regard to your query here. Have you asked someone to look over your website who does speak English? There are actually some English professors here 😅. (Of which I am “NOT” one.) But I know of a professor here. She’s pretty cool and helpful.

And you said you have been working at your website for almost a year right? It takes about that long for google to even trust our websites. However, some sees instant success because of the “keywords” they use and imputing those key words into the “meta tags” section of our articles and so on and google search engine will look at them because of those chosen words.

And if those key words written with in the content provided measure up to what a particular person is looking for then google will suggest your website too them. The goal is to get on googles first page so said persons can see your article being suggested.

I am most sure that most people would love any information about the island of Crete as beautiful as it is even though I myself have never been.

But ask yourself this what are your competitors posting? How many articles about the island of Crete are being created on a daily? It’s the competition that is most likely giving you a hard time.

English language is tough. I should know I was born in America and I live in, what we call here “The South.” And we here are mix pot of languages. What we say here in Louisiana the people who live in the northern states do not speak there and vice versa.

I live in Louisiana and this is what I mean by mix pot of languages. We have the aboriginal native Americans languages mixed with African, French, Dutch, Spanish ect. Lol there is a whole city of French, Creole or Cajun speaking people alone. And English is not there first language even though they live in a English speaking country.

I said this to encourage you to keep going. Take it from me someone who lives in a English speaking country who also have trouble with the language because of the state I live in is a mixed pot of languages.

Example: “Geaux”<— this word no one would know how to pronounce unless you stay here in Louisiana or have been around us long enough to hear us say it. Translation of the word I posted above. “Go” 😂 that is what it means.

Have someone look over your website if you are concerned with your English grammar. @DianeScorpio is a wonderful lady and have degrees in English if you need help.

Other than that I would not worry too much about it. If you can look up some English books, grammar and punctuation that would help you out better than google. Since google has to translate my type of English as well…of which I just demonstrated.

Well wishes to you,

Ms. Kida.

You definitely are a good communicator. The way you think and express yourself is very refreshing.

Since I am not familiar with Crete I did a Google Search. What a place. Here's what I found. There are hundreds of reasons to visit Crete at any time of year. The largest Greek island has mild weather, pristine beaches, great offerings for foodies and wine lovers, hundreds of ancient sites, breathtaking landscapes and hiking paths and wild nightlife.

I did notice that many of the websites talking about Crete are not tourist companies. They are people who have a passion for travel and love Crete. interesting ones: onemileatatime dotcom, Thetravelporter. dot com. Some top posts I noticed were dated 2016. So there is opportunity here but it won't happen over night.

I found it very interesting to see the long tail keywords Google presented with "why go to crete greece"

I really do think you have an opportunity if you are willing to look at this as a long term effort. "Your hobby"

It seems like by nature you are good at expressing yourself, so it would seem you know how a traveler may think and what they want to feel when they come to Crete to sightsee. So keeping those thoughts in mind when writing will capture the attention of those checking Crete out online.

If you decide to do this long term if you have not already gone annual, watch for a Black Friday event.

Yes, your idea of write simple articles about Crete is good. Don't complicate it. Feel from the heart, act as a tour guide with passion. We know you know how to do that because of your statements: "Relax - enjoy - feel the Greek sun - drink the sun in the sunset - make it romantic with your partner. Use your feelings.

Let your passion guide you and your head keep you sane.

When we chase money it will allude us, if your only dong this for money you will struggle all the time, you have to enjoy what your doing and not just build a website for money

If this is the wrong niche for you then maybe its time to think about something else
But you need to find something you enjoy doing because to monetise a blog takes many
months

People get scammed because they are constantly chasing instant gratification, there is not a business in this world that made money quickly every business takes a long time to see a profit

But the internet is full of promises of instant gratification its called the shiny object syndrome

Folks here like to be nice but I rather get honest with you, some one a while ago asked how long it takes to make money I told him the truth and he thanked me for it

The analogy I learned is to catch a butterfly you must stand still, if you chase the butterfly it will always allude you, the same thing is true of money

The truth is if you want to build a business online you are going to have to make scarifies and one of them is your time

I love writing about marketing psychology, the art of copywriting and wordpress as I am endlessly fascinated by marketing and the power of persuasion so I love doing it, as I am wordpress web designer and have an eye for design and creativity so I enjoy doing it

Find something you love
