Google Adsense Fails and Successes
Hey friends,
When I reached the level on the certification course (here in WA) that had a step requiring applying to Google Adsense, I was over the moon. I knew that it would be another way for me to monetize my site and with such reputable ads, it was surely going to help me reach my eventual revenue goals.
I went in with an open heart. I had followed all of the lessons thus far, had worked on my site every day and was ready for this next step.
But I got rejected.
What made me the most disappointed about my rejection was that I could not properly compare revenue from ads versus from affiliate marketing like one of the lessons called for. I felt like such a failure, like I wasn't really at the step that I was supposed to be at.
So many other people were approved, so it must have been my content, my site that was the issue.
I reached out to the community and learned that many of my peers were going through the same Adsense fails, and in that I didn't feel alone.
After a helpful message from Kyle, I just kept it rolling. I continued to produce quality content, continued to manage my site and focused on helping my readers.
Still I was awaiting the day that I would finally be accepted because I knew that it meant that I turned a corner, that I grew in my business. It would mean that my content was speaking for itself and all the work that I put into building my site and being active socially warranted another way to generate income for my site.
Well, I was finally accepted this week and needless to say I feel very proud of the accomplishment. It has been months since first applying and after trying those times in between, finally getting that acceptance email and seeing the ads on my site feels great.
Most of my blogs here within WA end with a message to the extent of "no matter where you are keep going" (something of that caliber) and this post is no different.
Those who have come before me within this community and even those who have come after have helped me so much along my journey and all I want to do is offer the same to anyone who needs it.
If you are one who is hopeful for Adsense but have come up with nothing but rejections so far, keep focusing on your site, and producing quality content, and try again until they see the value that what you have to offer. You will make it!

Sometimes the "rejections" are just a way to test resolve. Congrats on being persistant and not giving up.
I also was rejected but my heart is just not in having Google place ads on my Baby.

After looking at it, I may try again but why get paid pennies to send my readers (eventually I will have readers) to someone else to close the sale. Of course, I may be missing something.

It's a great way to monetize your site. The big money is in affiliate marketing, but a sizeable portion of my income comes from Google Adsense as well so I would definitely go for it, it won't hurt and you will eventually be accepted just be persistent. Keep working on your blog and producing great content and of course they will want to work with you :)

This happened to me with my first site before joining wealthy affiliate as well! The trick is to do exactly what you did and not give up!! Prove them wrong! Awesome job being persistent and not letting that keep you from your ultimate goals. :)
