Slow Progress

Four days off and feeling overwhelmed! I had plans for the Easter Break to do some quality work on my site, but it all came to nothing and today I feel a sense of urgency to "catch up".

My baby granddaughter aged 12 weeks was in hospital with her mother from Good Friday until yesterday evening - running a high temperature and turns out she had bronchitis! It's tough to see your little baby with a drip in her hand all bandaged up and so clearly in distress.

We had babysitting and sleepover duties with her older sisters aged 3 & 5 - not really a "duty" as they are delightful and much loved - but very tiring with trips back and forth to the hospital, making dinners to take in to mum (only to avoid the hospital meals!) and everything else that goes with entertaining little ones, including the Easter Bunny's work.

So grateful everything is now OK and the family is all back settled down. Just my work flew right out the window and today I feel like I have a thousand things to achieve.

It won't be a snails pace but I need to approach this steadily over the next few days.

Hope you all had a good break with your families and that everyone is safe and well. My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones in the tragic events in Sri Lanka - I wish the world could be a safer place and we could all live in peace together, and be accepting of our different beliefs.

Glad to hear everything is ok with your family. I took a few days off too. I’ll be right with you getting back in the swing of things tomorrow!

Thanks Eliza, yes all good now but was a few days of waiting to know what was wrong with our little one! They are so precious at that age, and it's awful to see them not well. Did a post today so happy about that!

Honestly, Mary-Louise, life interferes with working on your site all the time. Family is much more important than any site you could ever have. Your site will always be waiting for you when you return. Any deadlines or schedules are self-imposed, so you can always adjust them to what actually works for you. Very glad to hear that everything is okay now.

Thanks so much - yes my priorities are pretty clear and life does throw obstacles in the way! Just so glad our little one is fine, they test for meningitis and all the scary stuff too of course, so we had a few days of concern. Managed to do a post today so happy about that!

Cheers, Mary-Louise

Glad to hear the emergency is over and your family is back home. It would be so good if our world could live in peace, and it is hard to hang onto hope when things like Sri Lanka happen. Keep hoping and while you do I'll be praying that you can get back into high gear again and that your little one is fully restored.
God bless
Ray

Thanks for the comment Ray. So tragic to read of people who have lost children, wives, husbands and they have survived - you wonder how their life will continue with such grief.

I am grateful everyday for my beautiful family and I thank god for my blessings.
