The 4-64 Rule - Rethink Your Time Management

If you check in Google - Dictionary for the meaning of the rule, you will find that "Rule" is "one of a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct or procedure within a particular area of activity".

The 20/80 Rule

I think that everyone has heard about the 20/80 rule or the Pareto principle. It states that 80% of the effects comes from 20% of the causes. And it was proven to be true in many areas such as economics, sports, software, health, etc but also in Business. There is an axiom of Business management that states that "80% of the sales come from 20% of the clients".

That Sounds Good.

What if we apply this rule on our daily activities to get success in our business here in WA, we will save a lot of time and energy. This means that only 20% of our activities generate 80% of our success.

Drill down the 20/80 Rule

And what if we go a little deeper and applied the 20/80 rule on the 20/80 rule itself. This means 20% of 20 and 80% of 80. This yields 4/64 rule which means that 4% of our activities generate 64% of our results. That is awesome.

Let's apply the Rule on our daily activities here in WA

First of all, let's make the list of all our activities here in WA:

• Training - main courses
• Training - webinars or tutorials
• Writing posts in WA platform
  
• Design for website
• Writing posts and Product review
• Keyword research
• And more

From money making activities stand of point, I believe that Keyword Research and Products to review should be the 4% of our activities. The 20% should be dedicated to writing content. The 80% of activities or the mass work should be divided between supporting activities to our main writing activities.
