Hello! For those of you who have an established blog or store, when you first got setup in WP, did you start with a simple Blog theme (I'm looking at Juliet Pro or Divi), or di

Welcome you. Thanks regard rohit pawar

Hi Christy. What may be helpful for you is to look at other sites that are promoting CBD and see what theme they are using. Find one you like and go from there. It's really a personal choice but you want to be happy with whatever you choose because changing themes later on can be difficult.

Thanks Jay! Have spent a few days watching theme videos :) None of the CBD sites I have found, save one, have a "feel" to them that I like. Hence wanting to have a different kind of branding than what's out there. I've played around in the backoffice to see what different themes will look like, and am close to figuring it out!

That's great, Christy. Your theme should be simple to use. Glad you are zeroing in on a theme! Shoot me any questions you may have.

I am using the Notes Lite theme. But after watching Jay's seminar I think you should check into the Generate press theme. Just thinking.

Thank you for the suggestion, Ray!

I'm terribly biased on this subject cuz I'm a DIVI fan. Maybe it's because I liked playing with Legos :-), but I find it so easy to use and make an excellent looking site with it quickly. Their support is fantastic (live chat), and I like all the modules and layouts that are infinitely modifiable.

After Jay's last live session, I thought I might build a site using one of the themes he mentioned for the sake of crosstraining, but I do love me some DIVI.

Jay mentioned issues with DIVI sites displaying site building code, but I think that's only if you use DIVI and then move to a different theme other than DIVI. I'm not 100% sure about that though. I've had no issues with it.

Some say DIVI is slower, but I haven't experienced that either. I had an issue when I first installed it, but WA moved my site to the new BETA server, and the problem went away. It's super quick now.

Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you so much for the info! I'm learning some new things about Thrive, maybe I'll keep track and put some info up in a blog post. I certainly appreciate the help!

Divi and Thrive I believe are the two most mentioned as ones people are using. I am about to do Thrive Architect. It is awesome, not free, but affordable.

Hope this helps. You will get plenty of responses. Just do not rush choosing a theme. I took a month and glad I did. Having to go back and change can be pain in the butt.

Thank so much! I haven't checked out Thrive but I will. And I'm taking my time - have jumped in the past and it IS a pain to go back and change. You feedback is very helpful!

From what I have learned here is that folks are interested in doing business with a person and not a company. Brand yourself and that means you. They only want to connect with people that they know, like and trust and that is who they buy from. I would go with Juliet Pro. I hope I have helped.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the advice!
