My Gift for Small Business Saturday

Today was Small Business Saturday, and I had so much on my to do list. I didn't get a lot of the list done, but I believe I accomplished the most important thing. I am launching my marketing consulting business full time and consider myself a small business and non-profit advocate. As the first step in branching out on my own, I decided to upgrade to a premium membership. I could see the value in the yearly membership, but I am starting where I can. After upgrading I was able to easily launch a website using a domain I have owned for years.

It really is a passion of mine to give advice about marketing to people that have a small budget and not a lot of time. But it's something that I'm also doing for myself simultaneously, so I have a lot to learn and share. I have helped many businesses over the years, whether through full time work as a communications or marketing director, or through freelance side projects. Now is the time for me to take my own advice!

I was swamped at my full time job and it took up all of my energy, which meant that any dreams of operating my consultancy went out the window. In order to get out of the rut, I did something very scary. I took two part-time jobs with less pay, but more flexible schedules to supplement my income while working on my business. While things get up and running, it will be a lot of hard work, but there will be more freedom to get it done. I will soon be reaching out to past clients to let them know I am available to serve their needs and I want to let them know about WA. You have no idea how long I've wanted to optimize my websites for affiliate income. I've known about it for so long and have even told others that it was possible.
