OMG! They Have A Banner!

So...I was at Columbia University...and I'm pretty sure this blog post will be short...

I know...I knowwwwwww ... I should write longer. And perhaps better. But that's besides the point and soon to come!

I am coming off of a pretty good weekend with my students, who had slayed at Columbia University's Speech and Debate tournament, taking top positions and reaching the Top 6 at the competition.

It was such an awesome experience, but what stuck out to me was the fact that there were several people leaving the building who exclaimed

"OMG! They have a banner!"

"What??? That's so cool!"

"I wish my team had a banner!"

"I wish my team dreamed!".

...The last one was my addition.

But in all reality, I just find it funny that by simply having a brand on display, paired with hard work and success, you can grab anyone's attention. And we owned our branding when it comes to this banner! We are from the poorest congressional district in the United States, and have been featured as one of the Top 10 schools in the country for Speech & Debate, which is such a humbling distinction, but a sobering one for those that say it can't be done.

It can.

With debate. With marketing. With your passion and niche. You can get the "OMG's", that will translate to income, and steady income at that. All you have to do is own it.
