Update Training and Boost Member Rank
Training: A Work in Progress
While the training created by members here at WA is of excellent standard overall, I've noticed a few of the tutorials and courses (including some of mine actually) could do with updating in a few areas.
Once a training tutorial or course is published, we always have the option of going back to it at a later stage to edit in info, add more demonstration to it or tidy it up (a bit harder to do this if it is a video training of course).
Updates in technology and software occur, so it literally pays to stay on top of these insofar as we are able, particularly if we have created training. Plus we become more informed over time as we progress in the online marketing world.
Adding authority to our training also makes it a bit more credible and helpful to our readers. Although it's great to include our own ideas, experiences and insights, it also helps to reference authority sources, which will add value to our work. People rarely want to hear home-spun kitchen-table words of wisdom or loose ideas that carry no value.
Boost Member Rank and Increase Credits!
If that doesn't get you salivating then I don't know what will.
On the note of editing WA Training, Kyle has stated (inter alia) that it's beneficial to update our training and that likes and discussion contribute towards our credits.
Plus doing this generates a by-product: it potentially leads to more "likes", longer discussion threads, and ultimately more monetary credits from our training. Win-Win!
All the best
Thomas :)

I am still thinking what kind of training that I should make. It seems that all sides have been covered by someone else.
This shows that WA community ROCKS!
Yes I see what you mean Arief, we want to avoid doubling-up on training that already exists, yet we want to contribute to the community.
In the early stages, I posted a question asking people what kinds of training they'd like to see. Now I usually jot down ideas as they occur to me, always on the lookout!
Yes, I update my training whenever I realize that it's needed. I have also replaced videos that have become obsolete or I've found a better solution Full Backup With a Plugin The edit facility allows for videos and text to be updated.
Thanks for the tip, Thomas. I'd like to do some image-enhancing with some of my blogs when I'm better able. I see you've gone a bit "incognito." It should minimalize references to "you know who!" Keep up the good work! :)
My pleasure, Rick mate! It can be easy to let things slide with our training, but it's good to keep things updated particularly when others are taking our word as gospel.
I didn't get the reference about "You Know Who" initially, then realised you were talking about Mr Carrey! A bit slow on the uptake. Lol
Updating a training would boost the rank, but how would it increase the credits? If the training was created 6 months ago - it doesn't appear in the Top10 or Activities anymore, does it?
So if it doesn't appear in Top10 or Activities, then how will people see and like it? That's my question :)
They wouldn't appear in the Top 10 anymore but when people search for training in the "Search" bar, they may come across our trainings or visit them from our profile. They are more likely to "like" or contribute to the discussion if they find our ideas valuable and well-informed. This in turn earns us small commissions. Best :)

Great input like this really assists us newcomers in providing security which adds credibility of WA and helps us to build confidence going forward in these early, somewhat heady periods..
My pleasure Roger, appreciate you reading and commenting. Best!
