Information distraction - i am not being rude
Does anyone else have a problem with being distracted away from the training and building a better online business for their future here on WA? Or is it just ME?
From my first visit to the WA website, it was quite obvious that with the vast amounts of “never ending“ information and support available for anyone wanting to get an internet based business up and running, provide themselves with a legitimate income stream is totally possible.
Similar to most ‘Newbies’, I started by following the instructions at the Green GET STARTED HERE button and I am working my way through the certification phases. Usually, when an individual is enthusiastic about something, (me in this example) they will try to soak up as much information as possible (me again). Having no previous experience isn’t stopping me as the lessons are very clear, but maybe my pace isn’t as fast as some, which may be partly down to my age as well as wanting to be thorough.
One other ‘Reason’ I have identified for myself that I have realised is affecting my pace, is what I do when I see a message in my in box at the top right of my profile page or receiving notification of a message, I usually go click on the box and open up the messages. I may see that a member has decided to follow me or someone likes a comment I have made on the site. Of course thats just the beginning of the distraction, because now I want to go look at that persons profile, look around it, read blogs and visit websites when they have them listed. Yes, I will normally find more great information and I see some fantastic websites out there that in the main, have came into existence from people making their first steps, just like I did and Joined this WA community. However, it has caused me to be distracted from what I was doing, training and learning.
I am going to develope a way where I can still look at the messages I received, still read the blogs, still visit websites of other members. The name I am giving this development is:- Message to self - ORGANISE YOUR TIME AND DAY BETTER MARK !!!!!!

Just take the training in a very linear approach, step by step. A good idea is to turn off notifications of follows and just have it so you're notified when people respond to your comments and questions. Be patient, stay driven, stay focused, and you'll be set up for success :)
