Be A Curious Learner
To be curious about life, you should begin each day with the attitude of openness, with the anticipation you'll experience multiple learning opportunities.
Be open to experiencing new sensations, meet new people, use your senses to tune in, not tune out, seize your day. Be always vigilant, for there are a-ha moments and nuggets to belearned.
Finally, reflect on the things you've learned. When you experience new things, it's a missed opportunity not to ask yourself questions or reflect on or apply what you've learned.
So remember: Experience is not all that as a teacher; evaluated experience gives you more insights.

You lose out on so much if you are not willing at least to experience new things. I find it hard to be close to people that are so unwilling to experiment at least once. And so true that it's even more refreshing when you can have (deep) reflection on a subject. It can add so much more.

I do, to an extent, but at the same time, there are many experiences that I don't care about having! There is only so much time in ones' lifetime, Mark! Your message though is right on target!
