Reached a Goal!
I've been watching Google analytics waiting for the day that I reach 1,500 visitors to my website over the past 30 days.
I reached that goal today!
There are things in my life that prohibit me from working on my website as much as I should but I still try to keep it going and keep myself motivated with small goals.
For the past few weeks that goal was to reach the 1500 visitor/month point and I finally did it :-)
Keep Going
I have a message for people that get discouraged here ...
I find these success stories here to be a double-edged sword. On one hand they are very motivating and inspiring. They let me know that people can really succeed here and make a good income. On the other hand, it makes me see what I'm not achieving and can almost be a demotivator and make me wonder if this is even worth it.
Yet, I keep going and I stay here.
My situation
Some people are able to dedicate a ton of time to their websites and and able to make their websites a full-time (or more) job. I am not one of those people. Because I'm unable to dedicate that much time I know it is unfair to compare my progress to theirs, yet I still do it.
But here's the truth ...
My personal situation dictates that I can't dedicate that much time This past month I only published four blogs to my website. There's no way I can compare my progress to people making hundreds or thousands of dollars per month and I can't expect those kind of results.
Nonetheless, I am still progressing forward. I get a minimum of four posts published per month and keep my social media accounts for my website active.
My progress
February 17, 2018: signed up for my premium membership.
November 7, 2018: I published a blog post here saying I reached a milestone of 1000 unique visitors per month.
February 2, 2019: reached a milestone of 1500 unique visitors per month.
Total income so far is around $100.
For only publishing 4-6 blog posts a month I think that's pretty good progress! I'd like the money part to be higher but hoping that will still come with time.
It took almost 9 months to reach 1000 unique visitors and yet only 3 more months to reach 1500 visitors. Progress is happening!
Moral of the story
The moral of my story is that although being a super affiliate would be incredibly awesome some of us have limitations that prohibit us from being able to dedicate to that extent.
Don't be discouraged; you can still be successful and build a website with a following!
Building a website that will get noticed in the millions of websites out on the web takes time and dedication. The more time you can dedicate the sooner your website will gain Google trust and popularity.
But this can still happen even if you're unable to dedicate a ton of time. You just need to hang in there and keep at it and progress will come. It will just take longer.
Wealthy affiliate is a great platform and has taught me pretty much everything I know about building a successful website and affiliate marketing.
I'm hanging in there and so should you!
Give yourself credit for what you are able to do and don't compare yourself to others.
Your success will come in your time.

Wow, Lynne, your stats are awesome. Excellent first year! You are doing brilliantly. Wishing you another marvellous year.
Lynne, I know those whose website has only a certain amount of blogs even one a month who are making a good 4 figure per month income. The super writers you see 100-300- posts in a year have many writing for them, and or guests writers, yet this does not make a great website always. You have seen websites with so many posts how can you choose or take the time to read. Even one a week is 52 per year. Depending on what your niche is 1 weekly or bi-monthly is great. Concentrate on the traffic, and if those few posts have tremendous value to what you are offering you will succeed. Hang in there!
