Why I'm Here.
I'm a commercial driver for a national truck company. January past is when I started and so far I have enjoyed being there.
Of course with a job like this if you don't work, there is no pay (except for holidays). Well, today was no holiday and I was told there were no loads for me to haul to New Jersey where I usually go.
What a revolting development! Through no fault of my own-no work, no pay. That stinks!!!
...which is precisely why I am here. It seems like we can no longer depend on others for the steady work that used to be taken for granted back in the day. Even white color, salaried jobs are not safe with takeovers and layoffs.
So, we have to do it ourselves...!!! Like here. People are starting businesses all the time, people from all walks of life, from countries all around the globe, some that don't even speak the language and with little money. But they work and save and one day, they have a business.
I like the message here at WA, and we have heard it before, it takes effort, time and dedication to achieve our goal. Success does not just happen, it is earned.
So if I want to make an income on my own, not having to worry about being told that there is no work or I'm getting laid off, that's what it's going to take.

Welcome to the community I like the post and like you stated for the message..it does take hard work even on here..it very ready many success stories where it takes 6 months or even a year to make a steady income but the potential is here. You just need to stayed motivated, expect to do hard work, and I would say the biggest is patience it won't happen overnight
