November Update - Online Courses?

I've been super quiet but mostly because I'm been super busy. I want to get my website of the ground but in creating THAT content, I've managed to come up with several ideas for ecourses and ebooks that I can weave into it. I've been really active during all the workshops and panels during the virtual summit at Teachable, learning all I can to create a successful website, email list, and eventually a course launch.

My biggest focus over the last month has been writing. I've written tons of articles and I nearly have enough done to offer at least 1 article in every category for my blog. I'm struggling with just how much info I'm comfortable with giving away for free now that I know I want to do courses as well. It seems like a delicate balance.

The whole reason why I'm starting my blog is to offer more information than I usually see out there, based on my own experiences and experiments. The selling points of the courses is that you get someone to show you how to do things hands on, much like here on WA, so I'm hoping that's enough to make my customers feel like they are really getting value from a course. That and the fact that my million hours of research will be saving THEM millions of hours research.

I am really excited about doing live classes and webinars, though. I've had so much fun as a student and I'd love to experience the teaching side of things. I've done a Q&A once before and it was a lot of fun to be able to help people out.

Does anyone else have experience selling courses? I'd love some guidance on just feeling like my course is worth it. I know it's not about how many files or videos or lessons you offer, but I still have that nagging feeling. I think I really just need to RELEASE something and then see how it goes. The beauty of online courses is that if something sucks, you can always edit it and make it better with feedback from students.

Right now my most promising ideas are a "Photoshop for Bloggers" course and also a course to help busy people find time to blog. I keep hearing people saying they just don't have the time, and I've got tons of little ways to FIND time. A productivity course would be good right?

If you've got ANY interest at all in learning Photoshop, or if you're a current user who would just like to learn more, I'd really appreciate your feedback to help me develop a course that really solves some popular frustrations.
