Hey Luke, Just read your article and left commment. I like the domain name. I enjoyed reading the article. You write very well. I believe your page would look nice with a custom banner. I just completed a customer banner for my site today. I used bannersnack.com. It's free. Wasn't too hard to figure out.
I think you need to add a little more formatting to the content body. Two more pictures would have worked well. Maybe a couple of horizontal lines after headings would break up text more. (just add
after headings in HTML).The theme left much to be desired.
Improving the design of the website is the easy part. You already have the hardest part, the writing side of things aced.

I like it. Easy to navigate, user friendly. I really like your "like/share" buttons, adds a great visual. All in all, I'd say it's looking great! Nice work!

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. I'm not seeing a border. Are you talking about the blue background?
