My progress, thus far

Hello everyone. As part of the training at WA, I'll write this small post on how I'm doing.

Well, I have been here for one month and a bit more, and premium since 20 days, if I recall it correctly. The niche I decided to focus on is board games, and home games overall.

Apart from the fact that I absolutely love this stuff and I enjoy writing about it, I think that this could be a great niche thanks to the COVID pandemic. Board games and every form of home entertainment may get a boost in sales in the near future, since everybody (at least in my country) is staying home, because going outside can get a bit annoying.

I say this because it is summer here, at Spain, and our lowest temperatures can be around 32º celsius at night, at least in my zone (which is complete hell!) and, going out with a mask is mandatory, so being outside can get a bit nagging.

My progress on WA has been a bit slow, but steady. These past days my house has been full of people and kids and I have been unable to work peacefully until this week, when they finally left and I could get back to my normal job, and WA. Since I started, I managed to build Crazy Board Games, and 5 entries packed with content that I'm very proud of.

As I get on with knowing WA, I agree that the training that it offers and all of the resources are valuable, indeed. Definitely there are some things that could be updated, such as the sitecontent builder. Sure, the integrated CC0 image search is amazing, but being unable to edit already existing posts, and other errors that have made me update the page more than once to avoid an unwished lineskip or mandatory format, is a bit tiresome.

I'm missing some functions too, such as adding a featured image, tags and categories to the posts.

Due to those, I've found myself using the integrated Wordpress post builder more times than I would like to, but at the moment, it's more thorough for me than the Sitecontent builder.

There are some videos in the training that are outdated as well, but get the message through, so that's less of a bother.

My future plans, in a nutshell, involve continuing with my training here, at least until I finish it. Then, giving my page a slight overhaul with elementor (I'm a web developer so I have no trouble getting deep into WP) and getting involved with affiliate marketing.

And in the far future... well, making some money. I would be happy just by seeing a penny pop out of my site and my hard work.

I'm fully aware that this is a long road and success does not come overnight, but I'll do my best!

I'll keep you posted. For the moment, if you happen to read this, pay me a visit at crazyboardgames.com and give me some honest feedback! I would love to hear your opinions.
