The Hardest Habit to Form: Content Creation
By far this has to be the biggest road block that I can't seem to get over. Content creation plays a huge roll when getting ranked in google as well as when creating a successful business. I have done research in the past on how to form successful habits or how to start creating more content, but through all the knowledge I have gained I still have not applied them to my day to day life. It is as the quote by Stephen Covey goes...
"To know and not to do is really not to know."
What I feel discourages me most from creating content would be my mindset that every post I publish has to be perfect or else other people who read it won't take it seriously. It makes me feel as if their is a ton of work that goes into every blog post and that is what keeps me from sitting down and writing content. Now, I have reached out to the community as well as done a little research on how to get out of this mentality and this is what I have concluded with.
I have been reading a few articles and it seems to me that I just need to start writing. Most of the advice I have received and articles that I have read all give nearly the same advice. Start writing. Start writing and worry about the headings, spelling errors, and all the other tiny bits later just start writing. This mentality does seem to be one of the best approaches to my bad habit and is what I will start using from now on.
My goal is to start publishing a blog post every two days. One day will be for just getting my thoughts onto the page and the next day will be dedicate to inputting pictures as well as checking for errors in the text. Ideally I want to be on that schedule for about two weeks or less.
Once I get into the habit of simply starting to write, I would want to be able to start publishing one blog post a day on weekdays and 2 blog posts a day on weekends. This would be ideal for my set revenue goals and I would love to get to that point.
If anybody has any recommendations on how to go about writing blogs efficiently and successfully feel free to leave it below. Or if you simply have any advice or comments in general feel free to leave them below as well. Thanks
