Guys, I'm struggling.
I just finished work, here in the Uk it's 00:40 and for the past few weeks I can't stop thinking about my whole online business adventure.
I took the bus, got home and here i am looking for some help...
I joined WA in January, I was starting another adventure by selling stuff online on amazon (which i'm still doing) but i wanted more, and blogging or owning a website was something I wanted to do, especially learn how to do it.
So i won't be here explaining how i got to know WA but I started the whole course and I got really interested and I also start taking actions (which is probably my biggest problem, lots of ideas but lack of executions) so, I write ideas down and I start with a website, but after a while I realise is not the niche I want to write about and started something else.
Again, I start with an idea and slowly narrow it down.
I changed my website so many times, in only 6 month, but it's ok i'm learning and defining what I want to do, you know? I finally kind of know now where the website is going but you know what the problem is?
I'm struggling with writing content because I'm bored of it!
the topic of the website is basically what I do for a living, which is the same thing that I don't wanna do anymore, I am good at it, know a lot about it and I like doing it, but not professionally anymore, and so thinking about it when i'm off puts me in a bad mood of procrastination etc...
In 6 month i wrote only 30 posts I'm proud of every single post and how the website looks but I just can't write naturally...
I have this idea that to be successful in anything you do, you must love it unconditionally because is gonna be hard to succeed at it (remember Steve Jobs?)
and so here I am again confused about what to do, i mean this is a business and I must love it.
I'm not asking you guys to tell me what should I do, I just wanna know if someone out there had the same problem and how you solved it and if you succeeded after...I really need to read a winner story..
I know i need to work hard for it and i want to, but I wanna be in love with it, i wanna wake up in the morning and think how much I love my website...and right now is not happening
I'd love to hear your suggestion and views...please leave a comment and help me!
All the best
Luca.

Hey Luca,
This might happen from time to time with most likely any niche that you decide to get into. Sometimes it helps writing about the struggles you face as an online entrepreneur. Doing this can serve two purposes:
1. It can help you get the negative feelings out and get you back on track (you can tie it back to why you started your online business in the first place).
2. It can help someone else who might be doing the same type of job that you are, (or any job for that matter) who just might be looking or an opportunity to do something different, the same way you are.
So don't stress over it. Maybe you might want to add some stuff related to dealing with the job itself, maybe some resources, even some fun stuff to relax after a hard day's work.
Hope this was helpful.
Thanks Vanessa...sometimes it's also the fact that you want it to succeed so bad, that you look into million things to get new ideas and get stuck because you don't know where to start and everything looks complicated!
You know, following the courses here at WA you read about writing 3 blog posts a week or putting down 1500 words in half an hour...How? I should be copying half of my content if i wanted to write that fast...in my blog i write recipes most of the time this means
1) come up with the idea
2) try it
3) take good pictures
4) edit, resize picture
30 minutes for that? No way!
I know hat you mean. Having a plan of action is not a bad idea, it can help to keep you on track. You're right, recipes aren't that long. Do you have a cooking site? If that's the case, what about doing some product reviews related to the items you're using, and other kitchen essentials? Those would be a bit longer.
As an entrepreneur, even an online one, you have to be motivated, or know of a place or people that can be of some encouragement to you; like WA :-)
Having the right kind of help and support is important for people who want to get started online.
I have a lot of idea about products and done many already right now is just getting out of the boredom and frustration because I don't see results, I'm spending money and not getting it back and this puts me down a bit...
anyway in case you want to take a look this is my website and what i've done so far

If you have any suggestion..
Thanks Vanessa you really helped me..
Checked out your site. It looks pretty good. Question: are people clicking on the ads in your side bar? If not, you may want to consider moving them. Put the ads where you'd normally put Google adsense ads, if you don't plan to use adsense. So you'll have a header ad, one before the post and one after the post. I think that placement might depend on the theme, not sure. You'll get more attention to them that way and people are more likely to click on them, so you can make some money.
If you haven't already, like some FB pages, as your page, like Tasty and a couple others that have a good following, even a few health & diet pages. You can comment on the things they share as well as share your own posts.
You might want to include a CTA at the end of your recipe posts or even in between. For example, after I read your post, what do you want me to do apart from sharing it? So remind people where they can purchase the great stuff that you use. For example, include a link in your recipe page to your products' post.
What about doing a video and including it in one of your posts? It doesn't have to be a long video. (Check out Tasty and you'll see what I mean).
Well, that's about all the ideas that I have right now. Hope this was helpful.
I certainly feel your frustration. I am the same way, and I am sure many others will resonate with what you are saying.
I am actually very envy of you that you love writing, and you have already done 30 of them in 6 months! I think it's quite an accomplishment.
Finding the right niche is really the hardest part for many of us. I struggle too. I pick niche because I am interested in, but I have not even done it myself. It seems easy to write something based on some research (looks like school's assignments!), but in a reality, it is hard because you can't put across what YOU have actually FELT through experiences.
I hope you will find something you love and share with someone else. I know it will come... just really search yourself deeper (sounds like some spiritual nonsense, but I do believe each one of us has a calling to do) and be truth to yourself. Good luck!
Cheers
Kyoko
Hey Kyoko,
When I started blogging I basically picked up something that I could teach, I thought it was the quickest way to have content it's in my head i just need to think..Don't get me wrong I love learning new things but as I really want to get rid of my day job asap, I had kind of no choice, now probably the lack of patience and organisation and the fact that i write about pizza which is my day job I'm burning, I can't be thinking pizza all the time...
Maybe this is what is all about from the struggle you find a way..
Thanks for your help!
Oh I got it, Luca! It seems to make sense you got into that niche (about Pizza) because that's what you are doing right now as a job, but if you don't like that job and want to get out of it, Pizza is connected too much negativity, and does not give you much service. Either leave Pizza niche or change your mindset towards Pizza into more positive aspect. You never know once you start making money on your current site, you may start loving it.
Seems like you have a lot advice from others and you got some ideas... that's the beauty of this community!
Good luck... keep motivated and find the way you can love what you are doing! Throughout my own journey as an entrepreneur, I found struggle is the best blessing in disguise!
It's absolutely that! A lot of negativity is related to my day job at the moment and i ended up burning, Is just that sometimes i think i could give more to people than just how to make pizza...i'm working on it thanks to you guys i can develop some ideas maybe i just need a break or i need to try start writing about something else...
I completely understand your situation. One thing you could do is pick something that interest you, even if you don't know much about that particular subject or niche, and treat it like a research project. Just like in school when your teacher gave you a topic and you had to research it and present the information. Seems similar to what were doing here. Only in this time you can pick something that already interests you, and use it as a way to educate yourself on the topic/niche.
I'd say leave that website running if you have 30 post you should be getting a bit of traffic. Focus on an interest or passion of yours. Build a new website something that entertains you but keep the other website going post every now and then. This website will be a good to learn from as it matures.

Hi Luca, It was nice reading some of the comments on this post as I am currently in the same position, however I've never changed my website. I just created another one website that's more about me where I write more about my life. So I just switch between the two depending on what topic I'm motivated to write about that day. Although I have to admit I still struggle to write content on both, but it is better than having one website.
hey Siza, That's a good idea i only think that it's already hard coming up with content for one website imagine with 2...but i'll think about it seems a clever way to focus on different things
