Hatchling website - what has it taught me so far?
So here I am with a tiny hatchling website. Well three actually. A word of advice.... start with one!
Never mind I needed to get it them all out of my system. We all work in different ways, and sometimes we have to go with what feels right at the time. Actually having three sites helps me to stay entheusiastic! I love researching all three areas, and in many ways they connect, but they are each aimed at a different audience.
So I will be concentrating on one of my hatchlings for a little while, untill I have completed one of my planned resources.
So what have I learnt?
- I can blog! Previously I realy didn't think I could
- There is a plugin for everything (in WP)
- Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AdSense
- How my niche can earn me a living without killing me
- Carry on regardless!
What do I love most about this kind of business?
- Finally I'm able to help other people to do stuff, to make stuff, for free, and there is a workable business model behind it so that I can support myself to do this.
- I get to spend all day researching and learning even more about my niche (which is forever moving forward at a shocking speed!).
- Explaining all that I know to others, helps me to clarify how well I understand what I know.
- Other people are also interested in my niche, my niche based social network is looking at my posts and sharing them
- One day I'll be able to make my graphic novel and still have an income comming in to support me while I do it!

Yes, sometimes at the start of this journey doing too much all at once can be a time suck.
Well done on deciding to concentrate on just the one for now. You will definitely see big strides in your forward movement now.
What we love about affiliate marketing is the ability to make residual income. That was our dream from the outset.

Looks like you are finding your feet Lucy and all the best as you settle in and give your hatchling the care and attention that it needs.
When we first arrive we need to burn off all that pent-up energy, WA can be quite a rush to the senses.
The thing that I really like about this industry is that it is a level playing filed everyone that wants to can come and learn the skills that they need and start creating the life that they want.
The internet doesn't care what age we are, what our gender is, what culture we are from, our beliefs or faith the opportunities are what we make of them.
The key for me was the realization is that we are promoting and selling either products or services and that it is our words and content that will speak for us in our absence. In the process, our success can be measured not by the bank balance but rather by the number of people we help to find their space and enhance there lives on the way through it all.
Hear, hear!!! Thats so true, the internet is not discriminating, just responding to the content we put out there. Thats what I love.
