Cheering You On .

A quick note for my fellow awesome WAers! The quote above really resonated with me, hence I am here to share with you and be the one to keep cheering you on!

We All Need Grace

A few years back I learned a really valuable lesson. I was in mountains of debt with no obvious way out. A very close friend (and my boss to be at that time) was helping me wade my way through my finances and figure things out.

I was in that deep dark place of survival, exiting an extremely tough marriage, managing single motherhood once more (I was a single mum prior to marriage), and throwing the little I had left in me into creating a loving, stable, safe home.

Despair and shame were my constant companions at that time.

My gracious and beautiful friend sat with me, recognized the deepest emotions I was trying my best to hide and said these words

"Louise, there is no shame in debt. Everyone goes through it at one time or another. It is not a reflection of your character. Remember you are loved beyond measure and you are worthy of that love."

Today I offer that grace to you, and to myself once again, only this time, those words are changed ever so slightly ...

"your name goes here,........... there is no shame in starting over. Everyone goes through periods of inactivity, procrastination, doubt, fear, and has thoughts of giving up. It is not a reflection of your character. Remember you are loved beyond measure and you are worthy of that love. Not only that, you are capable and all the tools, training, and support you require are right here with WA. All you need to do is take the first baby steps to immerse yourself once again."

What Could The First Baby Steps Be?

Perhaps you're thinking "well, that's okay for you, I don't even know what the first baby step is!"

And the truth is that I do not know what your first baby steps are either. I can share with you what mine are ...

HOPE

That is the first one - for me, it all starts with hope. To raise my gaze from my circumstances and feelings and look towards the future with optimism and hope.

TRUST

Renew trust in myself to do what needs to be done to build the future my heart desires:

  • A future that makes a difference in the lives of the people I love;
  • A future that makes a difference in the lives of others I may not even know ( yet, now or ever)

& TRUST WA

I encourage you, if need be, to also renew your trust in everything that Wealthy Affiliate teaches and offers.

I have never been skeptical of WA, not even when I first started. Having started without the skepticism though, I still had (& have) to

  • Trust that I am able to do what is taught here.
  • Trust that I am capable of learning the skills
  • Trust that I will be able to implement what I will learn
  • Trust that I will be driven enough to keep on, day after day, night after night, week, after week, month after month, year after year (if you didn't know this journey is a marathon, I hope you can see it now 😉)
  • Trust that I have the courage to "put myself out there" to build an online business.

Some Ideas To Consider

  1. Start where you are
  2. Remember why you started (I went back and re-read a bit about my why)
  3. Go back to the beginning of the training and start again
  4. Read blogs within WA of successful members and allow yourself to believe that will be you
  5. Reach out to WA members - publicly or privately - for guidance and yes, even for a hand to lift you up when you can't see your way up again ... remember the word ... "there is no shame..."

A Final Word

"They're judging because you're starting over" - these people are not WA members. They may be your family members, even your spouse, or your friends!

But trust me, within WA, we have all had occasion to start over - whether we're brave enough to admit it or not.

I am pretty confident that these words are true "WA members are clapping because you never gave up!".

Blessings as always and remember who is cheering you on!

Wow Louise, You don't know how timely this message is for me, beause i feel like I am starting all over again. The last 5 years have been full of losses for me. Lets start with my darling wife
moving up into the bosom of Jesus, then because of the police State in which I live not being allowed to go to Church and have some people time, then when they were finally allow to gather with a small crowd I couldn't, I wasn't allowed because I was UNVAXED so I sat by myself and watch the gathering online, but now I can go. It is now official, after 15 years of loyal service, Woolworths terminated my employment because i am a leper being UNVAXED, at lest the paid me 5 weeks severance pay....THANK YOU. One loss after the other for me, so I am literally stating again from scratch. I am so glad i found WA it is such a great community and I feel so privileged to be amonge some of the most amazing and generous peopl I have ever met. I didn't make to church today as my best mate dropped in spontaneously stayed till about 1:30am, but after reading the Blog and some of the comments I feel like I just went to church. THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT......YOU ARE ALL AWEWSOME.

Hi Russell

Starting over can be so challenging, especially when it is one thing after another as you have had. Whew!

This unvaxed story really is something. In South Africa, there are employers who are trying to implement those kinds of policies but it is recently been seen as going against the constitution of the country.

Like you, I am unvaxed, mostly because I have had high blood pressure and it's not safe to be vaxxed until that is under control.

Funny story, I have been quite challenged with the vax thing (prior to knowing about the elevated bp) - there is a part of me that doesn't want to have it (maybe a stubbornness) and there's the other side where it becomes a trust issue that I may live in the world but my trust is in my Heavenly Father and He can protect me from any harm. One Saturday afternoon I was driving past Rhema church and I saw the vaccination signs up directing traffic into their vax center. I prayed a quick prayer and believed I should drive in as an act of obedience. Which I did. Only to find that the vax center had just closed, literally a minute or 2 before. So, I was obedient but didn't have the vax. It was after that when the raised bp was discovered.

My church has developed an incredible online presence which was increased and developed quickly due to the lockdowns. That's been an incredible blessing to me and many others across the world. We opened doors as soon the lockdown level allowed it but quickly got hit by numerous cases of the dreaded lurgy, necessitating closure again. It wasn't easy being apart from everyone, that's for sure. We are back in person and still have the online option available, that is here to stay now. It's awesome to have the choice.

Thank you for taking the time to read and express your appreciation for this post, it makes writing it all the more rewarding.

Blessings always
Louise

Hi Louise, Trusting Our Heavenly Father Is not just trusting if we don't follow his leading, even Jesus didn't blindly trust He would be safe He follow directions from the Father and even got out of town when they were trying to kill Him. So to me true Faith is expressed through corresponding actions as James says. But we all must do what we believe seems right to us without passing judgement on each others decisions. But with all I know about the Vax I am steering clear. Just a new and exciting chapter in my life.
You saw me before I was born.

Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
Psalm 139:16 NLT

Agreed, Russell, we were born for such a time as this.

What a fantastic post. Inspiring, uplifting, encouraging and challenging.

As I was reading this post alone, my memory re-played my past and I thought Louise was reflecting on my past. I've been through similar circumstances; being in debt and not knowing where and when my next $$ would come in.

Getting out of a difficult situation requires hope and trusting God. There are times on this journey of life when we pass through fire, it's not meant to burn us but to prepare us for tougher challenges ahead.

I agree with you Luoise, my baby steps include Trust in WA. This platform is our driver, and we, the passengers have the Trust that the driver will get us safely to our destination (our goals and dreams).

Thank you Louise for sharing.

Hi Fanwell

I am so grateful and happy to read your response to this post.

It never ceases to amaze me how alike we all are, no matter where we come from or what our beliefs are. That must be what "made in His image" means.

I wish you every success as you trust in God and the WA process.

Blessings
Louise

Louise,

This is a VERY powerful post!
As your dear friend said, we have all been there.
There is no shame.

I have been through 2 bad marriages, losing my savings because I trusted the wrong people, having to build my own financial security for my daughter and myself, starting over in my 50s as I continue to learn how to build my online business, struggling with menopause and all that brings, losing my Mum.

The list goes on.

There were times when I came very close to not making it but I kept pushing through and I still am.
Now, I can see rainbows and I believe that God sent me the global community support of WA JUST when I needed it the most.

I have found much grace, hope and trust here and II will be forever grateful to everyone in our community.

Thank you very much for sharing.
Cassi

Hi Cassi

We have so much in common my friend! I can identify with so much you have been through - kudos to you for getting up again and again.

Your gratitude, enthusiasm, work ethic, and courage are contagious. Thank you for sharing so transparently.

Blessings & big hugs
Louise 🤍

Oh, Louise!
Isn't that what makes our WA community so very powerful and beautiful though?

Without sounding too mushy, our community was a life-saver for me and truly helped me to find my firm footing again.
I almost feel invincible. :-)

Now I use all those experiences to help others through my firm, my coaching business and my writing.
It is heavenly!

So good to have you with us.

Cassi

BTW - I only learned a little Shona and Ndebele in Zimbabwe.
I did not know that there are 16 official languages.

What a fantastic read Louise.. I am truly sorry for what you have had to go through in the past.. tough times indeed..

But I believe that you have become a stronger and better person in spite of what happened before..

Trust in our own abilities and keep moving forward day by day dear friend!:-))

Hi Nick
Thank you so much.
Absolutely, we can come out stronger on the other side if that we what we choose.
Here's to trusting in our own abilities and moving forward!
Blessings
Louise

So true my friend! Have a great weekend!
