First real huddle today with me getting to monetize my site. Google Adsense don't want me!! Received an email to say I don't meet their criteria and no other explanation. So I am looking elsewhere. Guess me and google adsense are not meant to be!

many people get that email. usually just means you dont have enough content on your site. I obviously dont know how much you have but I would get between 25 and 50 posts and then try applying again and I m sure you will be pleased with the results.
On a lighter note there is no sense being upset as Adsense doesnt do much for you financially until you have thousands of visitors a day to your site. Just keep focusing and keep moving forward and it will all work out.
