Excuse Me.Where Do I Select The Option To Add More Time In A Day?
I feel like I've had to put WA on the back burner lately and that sucks. I enjoy coming here and chatting with people and reading blogs. With school and the dog sitting business picking up...it's hard keeping up with reading other members' blogs, websites, and making those connections to help each other out. I've been desperately trying to finish a huge load of school work before the week's end and somehow I found myself here...haha.
I'm going to have to make more use out of this community now, because I'm finally a yearly member! That Black Friday deal was too good to pass up. Thanks Kyle!
I'll be back by the end of this week and I'll have to catch up with the few people I've gotten the pleasure of having one on one convos with here at WA. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful and all is good!

Hi Liz. I read your profile and see you joined in October of this year, so welcome! And welcome to yearly-it is a great deal. I am still stunned sort of, and thankful that Kyle/Carson don't raise the membership price to a hundred dollars or more, because seriously, you get so much for the low price they give us. I have seen other companies charge a lot more for all that we get.
Sorry if I rambled, lol.
I was just curious about your dog sitting business. Family and friends ask me often to pet sit and I was thinking of making a side business out of it. Do you do it as a business or hobby?
I like the title of your blog too - "Excuse Me.Where Do I Select The Option To Add More Time In A Day?" Lol. If you ever find an answer, let me know!
Have a great week and I hope to get to know you better. If you ever need anything, just ask :)
Hi there! Thank you! I'm loving WA so far! And yes...for the price it's really so worth it. I looked forever for programs like this and they were all double, some even triple the price!
I ramble too, I got called out on it recently in one of my blog posts ;) haha! Luckily it was considered humorous!
And dog sitting is one of those side businesses you would think would be pretty easy to start up, but it's actually pretty complicated. And a lot of work! Some states require a pet boarding/sitting permit or license, some require a certain amount of insurance coverage, should the unspeakable happen, to cover medical or emergency expenses. There's also the occurrences of separation anxiety causing dogs or even cats to bolt out doors, out from a leash, bite, not eat, not drink...it's sometimes a really overwhelming situation. I used to have my own LLC years ago, but I ended up moving out of state and decided not to continue it. I work through a company called DogVacay (if you or your friends ever want to use it, let me know and I'll send over a link that will give them a discount code) and they provide the insurance and do the "dirty work" with nast situations if it were to happen.
I mostly do special needs/medical care sitting but I sit for healthy pups too if time allows. It's tons of fun, but it can really mess up your schedule. For example, I have class tomorrow that's normally a 10 minute drive from my place, but since I have a sitting job at the client's home this week, it's now a 45 min drive thanks to morning traffic to class. So my entire week schedule is wonky.
Sorry I rambled too...a lot. Haha. Basically...as a second job, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's strictly for just friend's and family member's dogs, then go for it! But having an actual profile for business set up...it can get over booked in the blink of an eye and then you're having to wake up 3 hours earlier to go walk each dog to make it to work on time, haha. I'm doing it now because with being a full time student again, I don't have to worry about a work schedule. And I get to hang out with lots of cool dogs (but I miss my own, haha).
I hope that answered your question. I'm sorry I ended up disclosing so much, but I haven't exactly slept too well and I think it's catching up with me. Haha. Feel free to PM me any time if you have any questions!
Hey great job on going yearly, it was a smart move indeed! I too am like you and wonder how to get more time in my days. When I get home from work I barely have time to work on my website and find myself up at 2am trying to finish blogs.
4 hours later I'm back at my job. Ahhhhhhh! LOL!
Good luck to you here at WA and I wish you nothing but success! Take care :)
Isn't that the worst feeling when you realize you have to wake up in less than 3 or 4 hours to get ready for the next/that day?! Haha I found myself doing that a lot, so I finally forced myself to turn off all electronics 1 hour before the time I need to be asleep and read a book or play with my dog. It's helped out a lot! But it's oh so tempting to think "I'll just do a quick post" or "I'll respond to some social media stuff" and get trapped!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be sure to return the favor!
