New YouTube Monetization Announced
Hello wonderful people.
It has been a hot minute since I last wrote a blog In Wealthy Affiliate.
I hope this finds you all well?
Even though I haven't been writing here I have attended some of the training and welcomed new members to WA.
It was announced on YouTube that you can now get monetized with 3,000 watch hours and 500 subscribers.
Don't get too excited though because this does not include AD revenue and it is only available in certain countries. But at least it is something to help with the motivation to keep pushing forward.
The other rules still apply for AD revenue at 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers.
What have I been doing since I was last here?
I have been making YouTube videos for my channel.
The channel was started January of 2022. It has 121 videos, 615 subscribers and 2.500 watch hours.
Not bad even if I do say so myself.
I have also been running some CPC ads and have had some great success with them.
The only thing I haven't done is write any new posts for my blog but I hope to remedy that very soon.

Yes, I heard of this.
And I looked into it before.
It is happening but not at all locations at once.
It is being rolled out at a few places currently.
E.g. I checked my account, and it still states that I need 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers.
I believe, in time, it will be the standard in all countries.
That's right it is not for every country at the moment and mine isn't included either.
But it will be of benefit to many.

I had heard that YouTube had changed a few things, I don't know if that is the UK or Spain are included in those countries?
It's great to see that your YouTube channel is growing, you have obviously been working hard.
It's interesting about the CPC ads, I'm glad that you are seeing results.

The new YT rules do apply to the UK but not to Spain.
