Why I joined WA....
Total Newbie here.....
I have been looking for a way to realistically own my own business on the internet for awhile now. I would like to supplement my income, pay off my bills, possibly quit my job in the near future and make a comfortable retirement for my husband and myself. I stumbled across WA a few days ago, and WOW....it really peaked my interest. I joined "FOR FREE" to take a look around. I am so blown away at all the training here, the family atmosphere, and caring people here to help!!! I feel so much at home, it is so comforting. I just wish I would have found you all sooner. I upgraded to Premium status, and have been trying to get through the lessons, but find myself always getting sidetracked by the wonderful training, and profiles. I started a blog last year but life happens, I didn't know what to do with the little traffic that I did receive, so....you know how that goes....I have been researching the training about finding your niche, I believe my blog is too broad of a subject - Crafts - but that is my passion, so I'm trying to figure out how to make that work, since I own the "dot.com"
So here are some of my inspirational sayings as I hit my "roadblocks" I wish to thank all the wonderful members of WA, Kyle and Carson for all the encouragement and support. I am preparing to go back to Pa this weekend to go back to my J O B, I work in a high school and have been off for the summer....so once again, I wish I had found you sooner, maybe I would be through the lessons.....but I am dedicated to spend at least 1-2 hours a day. for the time being (or whatever it takes) to try to figure this out!!!

I disagree that you consider yourself a newbie Linda. I think you have good background experience already. It's just there was no direction for your previous blog which is why it didn't succeed that much.
Luckily now that you are here at WA, you will find what you need to move forward.
That being said, your passion on crafts definitely brings up some cool niche ideas. For example:
Crafts for kids.
How to make presents out of crafts.
Various crafts subjects (can all be niches).
I wish I could offer more ideas, but I lack knowledge in this area so this is the best I could come up with for now. I do know that you can and will find it and move your current site forward or perhaps even a new one further than you ever imagined :)
Thanks VitaliyG, for your encouraging comments, great ideas and very kind words. I commented back last night, but I can't find it....&$@*$))*^ internet in this campground. I read a blog yesterday, I don't remember who wrote it and it hit me right in the head**** I have a fear of the unknown...failing....not being good enough...so I tend to give up....several people in my life have doubted success in working on the internet, as I have to be honest...I have also done....but the caring, loving community here is great...I took care of 2 aging parents over the last 13 years and was their sole care taker with Hospice help.....so I could fulfill their last wish...to die at home. My daughter is grown up and on her own...NOW IT'S MY (and my husband's) TIME!!!
My site is Craftiladi.com
Would it be best to concentrate on one craft and make that my niche, or is it possible I could organize different crafts to different pages all on one site....any help from anyone is greatly appreciated!!
There you go! It is your time and you will make it. I know how you feel about the fear of failure. Believe me I've been there, but one thing I have come to understand is that failure is actually a good thing. I look at it as just another stepping stone to success and with every failure, I know it's making me stronger.
You can totally figure it out and I have no doubts you WILL figure it out in no time! Welcome to the amazing WA family!
What are you top 5 favourite kinds of crafts ?
Thank you for your encouraging comments and kind words. I commented back last night, but #@%&!** internet in this campground....well you get the picture. I LOVE ALL crafts, (that's my problem)....but the TOP 5...hmmmmm
-sewing - I have sewed my whole life, made my own clothes, wedding gown, will be making my daughter's wedding gown, made all her competitive skating outfits, curtains, drapes, re-upholstered, finished crafts, dolls, etc, etc You name it I have done it....I love to sew!!
-ceramics - I have a deep passion for the dying art of hand painted ceramics - not the shiny, glazed look, but the realistic, matte finish deeply shaded. I became a certified teacher for Duncan, but enjoyed pouring, firing and painting my creations for profit (very good income in the 80's, I probably own 5000 molds) Maybe I could rejuvenate this craft!! lol
-decorative tole painting - I hand paint anything and everything (pots and pans, vintage coffee pots, cutting boards, thrift items etc),
-floral crafts/arrangements - wreaths, centerpieces...all those dust collectors
-scrap booking - I love to make memories
There are my top 5...lol So this is why I want my niche to be Crafts....It's my happy place!!

Love the post and the last saying above the comic car is so true! Just keep cruising and you will grow and get to your goals. Just learn from your failures, which make you stronger and is part of getting to your end goal. Your doing great! Its great here in the WA!!
