The Learning Curve

I always liked to think of myself as being fairly computer savvy, but creating my own website has been such a learning curve - one I could not have overcome if it wasn't for WA. I mean, I would not have known where to start, and would probably never have even got off the ground, if I didn't have this site for guidance.

Aside from the amazing online skills I have learned, I have rekindled my love for just simply writing. I had forgotten how much I enjoy it.

I decided to come along and log this thought, so whenever I come up against more obstacles, I can remind myself that I am doing something I love.

Now, on to course #3 where the fun really begins....

It is an amazing course isn't it? I have had experience before making a website and you know i found it so complicated.

When i came to WA i thought, here we go again from the start. I could not believe how straight forward it is and the training sure does help :)

Not to mention our amazing community of course :)

Thanks, Chris. Yes, it's incredible. Even if someone had never done anything more online than send an email, they would be more than capable of following the instructions and getting themselves set up with a site.

I love it here. I just wish I didn't have a full time job and could concentrate on this 100%! One day...

How long have you been in this game?

I have done a lot of work online before over the last 4 years but only been with WA just over 3 months

Sure Claire, give the following a go.

You will need to get a Gravatar for your picture to show up.

1. go out to:
https://wordpress.com/
and create a new account. Follow the directions it's pretty easy.
Note: **(the wp sign-in info from your WA account will not work for this)
I found this out the hard way.

2. once that is established go to:
http://en.gravatar.com/
and then use your WP sign in information (upper right) follow the instructions and establish your Gravatar account and create your Gravatar.

Make sure the picture description is in all lower case letters with no symbols...other wise you will have a problem.

Also if you can make sure your picture size is 250X250 or less.
