A Web Designer's Progress.
So I am on Course 2, Level 6 and it's Blog time. I'm enjoying what I'm learning and find it pretty easy to follow. It's getting less overwhelming as I go forward.
Since I'm a web designer, that part wasn't too difficult but some aspects stumped me. The community has helped a lot though! Everyone is quick to answer and they get right to the point.
As a web designer, my niche is helping new web designers with all kinds of tips, ideas and recommendations. When I started over 10 years ago, I knew nothing and I didn't have a big budget so I searched a lot for free resources. I was able to find quite a bit and it's those kind of things that I'm sharing. There are, of course, some things that I had to pay for but I tried to go as cheap as possible!
My biggest success to date is getting ranked on Google! It makes me feel I'm heading in the right direction!
One thing that is still difficult for me is trying to sign up with Affiliate Programs. Both of the sites I wanted to use have you go through Commission Junction or FlexOffers (or others) and so it's not as immediate as I thought it would be. I have posts on my site but I am not affiliated with anyone yet. It's in the process though.

good work!
so you are starting to develop a following and a readership base,
you are ranked on google, but are you consistently ranking 1st page, or do you have to search a bit deeper,
if you are consistently 1st page, then you should be good to go for affiliate programs, otherwise, keep building that base, and then you should more easily qualify for the affiliate programs you want rather than just those that will take anyone
all the best,
Thanks for the encouragement and advice!
no problem,
besides that is what the community is all about!
all the best,
