No fear!
So today I was doing Biblestudy and I read from 2Timothy chapter 1 verse 7.
It says "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."
If you check the greek behind the words, it becomes even more profound. It could read "For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of capability (both potential and actualization), Love (especially with a general positive outlook on people and situations) and self-discipline (expressed in acting prudently).
All of us here have goals we want to achieve, and challenges to overcome. Fear is a huge thing to be free of, but I find it profound that the opposite of fear is power, love and self-discipline. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. We feel fear because we feel like we lack the capability, we think negatively about situations or people, and we don't know how to manage ourselves wisely. Gratefully, by focusing on developing what God has given us: power, lover and self-discipline, fear can be overcome.
Let's all adopt a mantra "NO FEAR"! Go forth and do what you need to do. I believe in God, and I believe in you.
