On the road to fulfillment

It was another member, Skumps, who made me realize why I'm really here at WA.

In her profile she stated that she had obtained a degree but wasn't happy with her chosen career.

I can totally relate. My degree was not exactly the 'end all, be all' for me either. I later realized that I was really more of a people person and that should have opted to major in the medical field instead. If you check out my blog you'll find that is still the area I am most passionate about over the past 3 decades after graduation.

May I make a suggestion to you? If you are not happy with your direction, further your education in the area you have the most interest in. Believe me, I wish I had discovered my passion when I was younger or follow my interest instead of pursuing a career to fulfill a need at that time.

I've been married to the same man for almost 38 years, we have together 7 children and 15 grandchildren. I feel that God has blessed us with much in that area. While I was raising my children, there was always this thought of whether I should continue my education in the back of my head. But you can imagine trying to juggle getting a higher degree with balancing the family responsibilities and nurturing five children was not easy. So, I contented myself with the full-time job of being a housewife and mother.

Now I find myself here at Wealthy Affiliate looking to fill an empty corner of my life. I still wanted to further my education and fulfill my passions, so to speak. It's really too late for a 'seasoned woman' like myself to think about getting another degree. But I thought to myself, there must be a way to achieve my objectives. I still have the desire to help others including my family (that's a given) even though I've worn many different scarves over the years. And I still have an interest in the health field. WA has allowed me to do both.

At WA have been able to pursue my insatiable thirst for knowledge. The educational pursuits are becoming satisfied as I plunge myself into the courses and mentor ship and great support at Wealthy Affiliate University. As a result of the awesome training here, I now have a blog up and running that I regularly contribute to. People are actually reading what I have to say and giving me positive feedback....so I'm helping others. I've been able to write more content with ease than I thought ever possible.( Just for the record that was the hardest thing for me to do.) I've learned a few things about html that used to boggle my mind. Just recently, my latest thrill was that I was accepted to join an affiliate marketing group. That was what I was waiting for! Now maybe I can start making some money, too.

In just over one month, I'm getting ready to move on to Course 3 today

Go with what you love!

Write about what you love or are passionate about. This is how to brand a niche. Hopefully, it will prosper and grow with some hard work on your part and the help of Wealthy Affiliate at your side.
