The Universal Code of Internet Marketing

Hi everybody. I thought I’d write up 1 blog post while I’m on here to at least help you better understand how everything really works today; at least from my point of view.

To start out, I just wanted to thank all the old members and some of my friends who have helped me over the years on Wealthy Affiliate. After a lot of mistakes throughout my online journey, I’ve learned a ton about business both oriented towards online & even offline (I’ll emphasize on this more when I get back on my old account.) I’ve also learned a lot about computers, how the internet works, a lot about programming, software, and how everything operates online. All of this knowledge I’ve learned, I can easily use this for any job I might decide to pursue in the real world today. Understanding how to use a computer, how simple programs like Word Document & Excel Spreadsheet works, & how the internet works are almost a must anymore with most of your more professional careers.

I’ve learned a lot about how the beginnings of the web took place & have learned a lot from old time members who have accomplished such feats like earning $50,000 in 1 month and ridiculous similar tasks. Yes, you could possibly accomplish something like this today, but it’s a lot harder from a newbie perspective. Now if you’re a beast like Kyle, Carson, Jay, or some of our older members who are highly experienced, you could actually make a lot more than just $50,000 in 1 month. These reasons are a reflection of where the internet has gone to today and what new internet marketers really have to cope with today. Things aren’t as generally based as they used to be, and traffic didn’t “randomly come out of nowhere” like they used to back in the 90’s. You have to use your head, you have to think like you’re going to take the WHOLE darn tree instead of just the low hanging fruit, you have to have the mindset to take on your competition headstrong, you have to be willing to think on your own, and you have to be willing to put in the hard work. It’s not the same as it used to be, and below I’m going to tell you why.

The Early Years

I’ve read pretty much most of Kyle’s blog posts and guides in the past, and I know he’s said today that he personally believes there is more opportunity out in the world today. If you want my honest opinion as well, HE’S RIGHT. There is. The difference here though is due to the vast amount of opportunities that are being laid out today and only increasing in the upcoming years, people are only getting smarter & are often going to power house sites. Things were much more general back in 05, and people like Ryan Moran & PotPieGirl could setup an Internet Marketing blog and get pretty easy traffic to their websites. Why? Because there weren’t as many people doing it then as there is today. Of course now, they have beastly websites to where it doesn’t matter & all these new I.M. sites sprouting up are like ants to be squashed. Imagine PotPieGirl squashing your little 10 page Internet Marketing site under her powerhouse of an Internet Marketing site. People would rather visit Jennifer Ledbetter’s site than your brand new little 10 pager Internet Marketing site since she has a well-established & strong website. They took action at the time they started, and now they’re benefiting from it. For you: you don’t have that opportunity. You’ve missed it. Yes, it’s possible to create a beastly website like there’s if you do some serious no lifing with huge money losses compared to doing other things you could easily accomplish more by, but seriously read on… You need to take on NEW opportunities. So this is what you need to do…

LEARN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, MAKE MISTAKES, AND START OUT SMALL ON JUST 1 WEBSITE. IT’S HARDER STARTING OUT, BUT IN THE END THERE IS MUCH MORE OPPORTUNITY WHICH GETS ONLY MUCH EASIER.

The web is getting harder to understand, many things are becoming much more advanced, more niche sites are sprouting up all over the web often trying to take advantage of the search engines, or even trick the user into buying there material. It’s to the point to where people will actually use ABC News & other major news stations to even trick you into buying certain products. This type of stuff is RAMPANT. Even so, people are still flocking online to buy their items by the millions. If you check the graphs since the beginning of the internet way back when Tim Berner’s Lee created the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) you’ll quickly see sky-rocketing results. Everybody is starting to use the internet today, and the internet is EVOLVING into something most of you truly don’t comprehend yet. In order to understand the universal code of online marketing, you have to read about how it all started with the 1st published website back in 1990, which is now a Physics particle site I believe for some Engineering company. Now THAT’S what I call old fashioned web development.

You have to go through the graphs, understand the nature of how the internet works today, closely study your audience and where they’re going, figure out where people are going to online, figure out what people really want today, and act on it in an intelligent & compatible way to how the internet works today. Now it’s time to jump in your time machine, speed up your watch to our current times, and figure out how everything seriously works now to take advantage of the real opportunities that are laid out anew today. So take my advice: Instead of JUST taking the low hanging fruit, instead of just creating a simple 10 page website on a very general niche, and go about everything with a weak mindset, think again. Go in fields that barely have any competition before smashing what competition you might have, expand upon your website in unique ways nobody is doing today, build an epic website people will be hooked on instantly, writing highly engaging content people can seriously relate too, Go after more specific things that you can easily excel on, and hammer away amongst your own creativity, ideals, and mindsets.

THERE IS MUCH MORE OPPORTUNITY THAN WHAT THERE USED TO BE IN THE EARLY YEARS, JUST LIKE KYLE’S SAID IN THE PAST. BUT IN ORDER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT OPPORTUNITY, YOU HAVE TO GO AFTER THOSE NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN AN INTELLIGENT & SERIOUS APPROACH THAT’S FITS TODAY'S MINDSET. ONLY THEN WILL YOU ACTUALLY SUCCEED.
