I've encountred the problem statement mentioned in the blog banner. I'm sure some of you as well ended up with this surprise and got stuck for some time. And some of you already found a solution and implemented the same. I hope the following will help you as well.

There are two things to understand. Client and Server. Client is your browser, where your trying to view your website, edit the website, publish the website and refresh the website! On the otherhand Server is the one that hosts your website for both development (edit, view, publish) and deployment (hosting of your published website). This is most of the times WA Servers or any other server that you've got licenses (such as namecheap) and WA points to the same, because you're member here.

There are two more thing to understand. Cache, which is a temporary nearby storage, which helps to fetch the old stored content quickly. Please remember that at any point in time, the source of truth where your latest updated content gets stored will be the Database, which is called persistent storage. The Cache is present in both server side and as well as client side, whereas Database is present only on server side. We just need to worry about Cache on both the client and server, to resolve the page refresh issue. Following exhibit demonstrates above description and as well as the resolution details below the same.

First, focus on your personal computer browser(s). Go the settings and find the location that captures the checklist; and click the button to clear the cache content. For example, for Google Chrome, go to settings, then go to privacy and security tab, then click the clear browsing area tab, select the checklist and then click on "clear data" button. Job done! Following exhibit helps with respect to the above example.

Second, focus on your website; go to Wordpress in edit mode. Click on Plugin on the navigation catalogue on the left side. Click "Add New". See below exhibit.

Now type "Force Refresh" in the Keyword box as shown below. As you type, the window below the keyword box refreshes and shows the plugin. Now click on "Install Now" button.

Upon installing, do not press the "Activate" button that gets displayed post installation. Instead, move back to and click on Plugin link once more on the navigation pane on the left. See below.

Now click on Activate link. Now plug-in gets activated. This enables to refresh your website (clears the cache) on the server side every time a request is engaged by the server. The link now changes to Deactivate state.

Just in case, after sometime, if the page refresh issue re-appears, then click Deactivate link. Now Activate links appears. Wait for 5 to 10 seconds and then click on Activate link. Also make sure the client side browser cache gets cleared as well!''

The server side cache refresh, can also be done through WA Dashboard Details. See below.

Trust the above helps!

I agree with Jeff
This could be an awesome training. You just need to be here for 3 months before you are allowed to do so

Thanks Simone! For sure, will do! Have great times!

This would be a good training module when you reach your 90 days here!
