Become a diamond with a Boom.
Hello averyone and I thank you in advance for reading my blog... I wanted to pass along one of the most empowering ideas I've ever come across over the years on my enetreneurail quest...
It involves turning a common truth into a lie. But first, lets close the loop on that subject line that made you open.
As Confucuis said,
"Better a diamond with a flaw... than a pebbel without."
Whoa... deep huh?
That's some hardcore fortune cookie gold rigth there. For me, that quote is all about the common truth that so many of us hold onto with a death grip...
Perfection.
We all want to be perfect.
And it's in those imperfect actions that we actually are able to create results in our lives we've only imagined in our fantasies. You've no doubt heard the classic reference that the only way to turn a piece of coal into a diamond... is through presure.
Well that "positive pressure" is through your daily actions that might feel like some ordinary piece of coal at time. Nothing shiny... nothing extravagant.
Over time though, that consistent "imperfect" pressure starts to allow the diamond that is you to take shape. Now here's where I really wanted to shake up your mindset... kind of like a Manny Pacquiao sucker punch to your success programming.
Perfection... in a thief.
It can steal everything away from you, all the while tricking you into thinking the you pursuit of perfection is a noble goal. It's not. There's absolutely nothing noble about you waiting forever to be perfect before you unleash your unique gits and skill sets to the world.
Because perfection will keep your days away, turning them into years and eventually a lifetime lost to "wating for everything to be right." The world doesn't want your perfection.
The world wants (and needs) what YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW.
Starting today, make yourself a promise to look away that dirty little theif called perfection... Instead stading tall in the glory of your impefect work.
Become the diamond with a flaw...
And leave the world in awe.
I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend with friend and family..
Take care and best wishes to our success... thanks
Leonard D.
