Whilst sitting in front of the computer, doing my studies, research and preparation for my soon to be published web page, in between the blogs and notifications, I thought hey, reading all these tips and following advice as to how and what to do in order to succeed, on the net, (whatever it is you’re concentrating on) it came to my attention that no one has mentioned, at least, I have not seen or read, an article, relating to TIME OUT

I mean, concentrating and absorbing all this abundant information that’s out there and no mention of taking TIME OUT.

Maybe, because everyone is so hyped, that all they think about is making $$$$$and more $$$$$$

Well, I thought, why not discuss this for my first blog here on WA.!?

I know everyone has their own style and format when it comes to research, studies and investigation ,but nobody is capable of doing this, like they would, running a marathon.

After all, the brain is a sensitive organ and needs to be treated accordingly.

It is, after all, the mainframe, it needs to be kept in optimum condition for our bodies to function properly and positively. Hence, taking a break from studying and serious concentration, should be something that should be encouraged, for our minds and bodies to function positively and healthily.

Taking TIME OUT to reflect on what it is that you happen to be doing , by listening to music, taking a breath of fresh air ,a stroll, having a snack, something to eat, a nap for a short period , or just doing nothing , all this and more , will actually assist in your studying and absorption of information, facts and formats.

For how long, or when, you may justly ask.

Research has shown, in general, that this depends on the individual. Some may tire or falter in their concentration quicker than others, but generally, sitting in front of a computer constantly for more than 3.5 – 4 hrs (sometimes less) at a time will only prove detrimental. One’s level of concentration dissipates dramatically, and the mind begins to seek alternative stimuli.

Maybe reading this short article will make you realize certain things that before you couldn’t understand, but in reality, we, as humans, have our shortcomings/limitations and knowing these, is what makes us progress in life, making improvements along the way so we may enjoy our existence and those around us, so much more.

Just thought this appropriate right now, that we are all enjoying Thanksgiving and Hannukah.

Wonderful blog! Working is good, but taking care of oneself and just being is of paramount importance.

like me, but not so regular as to put a timer in place...best

Very true, i find having a timer going off every 45 min. helps to remind me to take a walk outside , or go do some excercise or something , helps to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul !!......take care.

I often take time out. I try to work on my IM when I am most productive with writing. This is usually in the early morning. Thanks for reminding us that we need to pace ourselves and take time out now and then.
