An Inspiring Story - Overcoming Poverty

Just by reading the following inspiring story, I was able to pick out a pattern that you find in many other stories of people overcoming all odds.

See if you can find the following patterns I wrote below. Do you see other patterns I've missed? If so, please share them.

1. It can be senseless or useless to meet the requirements of the system (traditional thinking)
2. One doesn't need to feel ruled or defeated by it.
3. Scholastic accomplishments don’t necessarily mean anything
4. Poverty need not be an obstacle
5. Finding the right market for what you are able to offer is key.
6. A simple idea and being able to reach the market shattered traditional thinking and brought victory over tremendous obstacles (debt and the system)
7. People come to you instead of you having to go to people (i.e. your phone rings off the hook).
8. Your reputation (brand) builds as you are able to successfully deliver.
9. New opportunities (niches) and markets arise as your business grows.
10. Personal problems (like health) lead to question for solutions, leads to another niche, leads to another market, leads to more business, branding….and the cycle repeats itself.

Besides these lessons and insights, Mike himself gives some excellent inspiring perspectives on material wealth, helping others, money, character, freedom…etc. What do you think?

I have mixed thoughts on his views on the coming economic global crash. I'd be interested in your views of this.
