Where Did My Mentor Go
When we join Wealthy Affiliate as a new member, we are often told that our mentor is the person whom we signed up through, the owner of the website where we found WA.
I have seen a few members who aren't able to find their mentor. Where did my mentor go has been asked a couple of times.
Inactive Members
If you have tried to contact your mentor and have had no response, you can check their profile for recent activity.
If there isn't any recent blogs, training or questions that they have asked, you can scroll through the comments on their profile.
Don't just look for what members are saying, look to see if the "mentor" has responded recently.
You can send them a private message to see if you get a response as well. Recently I have seen a couple of new members leaving messages for their mentors and not getting a response.
I will check the profile for activity, as I don't want new members to feel like they have been abandoned.
I have come across 2 members who have had new members (referrals) leave messages on their profile that hasn't been active in 11 months.
This post is for the new members. I just want you to know there are several places to get help and you don't have to wait for hours, days, weeks etc.
Where To Go For Help
If you are new and you are looking for help or have questions, you can almost always count on the community.
Once you start looking around the platform or get started on the training, you will realize that there are many places to ask questions.
Chances are the question you want to ask, has been asked before. If you check below each lesson you will find a comment section.
If you have questions about the lesson, go ahead and ask it there. You can scroll down though the comments and your answer may already be there.
You can also check through my training. I created training on "help and where to get it". Please feel free to check it out. I can't tell you all the places as I will be duplicating content.
I am sure it will be of great use to you. I have seen members have to wait hours to get an answer.
This may be because of the fact that everyone here is from different parts of the world. There is no reason for you to have to wait for an answer though.
Please, when you need an answer get it. You are never alone here. There is always someone here that can help. You may just have to check different areas.
I hope this will help some of you. Wealthy Affiliate is the best place to learn and grow. We all want to see and help each other succeed.

I do not have a mentor. Looking and searching the internet and a pop-up of wealth affiliate. I check them out. I am in for the long haul. I never met my mentor. Maybe he is the person who paid the pop-up. I hope it is not a ghost from the past. If it is an angel sent by God [good].

If you click on Help Center it will show Premium Coaches. The first 2 are Kyle and Carson, and the third one will be your mentor.

In the beginning, when first started I had some connection with my mentor, and recently I have reconnected with him, but most of the time I will use the community if I want to ask something.

One of the reasons maybe because of the time change. You have to remember that since we can join from anywhere that means also you and your mentor maybe on completely different time zones!!!

I have used the community more than my mentor, but the time I did PM him I received a response in a very short time.
It didn’t occur to me that some people would be left hanging.

I didn't contact me mentor when I first joined.
I was ok with the help the community offered, but when I did reach out to him, he answered in a timely fashion as well.
I just don't want anyone to feel that they are being ignored or anything : )

I know who my mentor is and where he can be found, but he has never answered one of my questions. Ever.

Ok now that annoys me.
I know some may have a large number of referrals signed up through them, but you still need to be able to help them out when they need it.
When we right our messages to them or when we do our reviews and pitch pages, that is one of the main things that most of them have in common. We tell them that we will be there to hep them when they need it.
My website would have to wait. If I told them I would be there for them, then I will be there for them.
You turned out pretty good without him. I am sorry that happened to you.
I would have been there for you. You would know more than I, but I would still be there for you : )

Great point you bring up there Lee Ann. The community is what got me hooked. John my mentor was and still is available when I need and checks on me every now and then but the real thrill for me was the community.
I try to send a few welcome words to new members and offer some help as I know that that is the critical moment for any new member.

I can still remember the awesome feeling I had when this community reached out to help me, and were there to answer all of my questions.
It is really scary starting something new and not knowing your way around.
