What Is Wealthy Affiliate About And Does It Work?
When I first joined WA, I wasn't completely sure what it was about. Like some of you, I wasn't sure that it was even legit.
What is Wealthy Affiliate about and does it work? I have been here for 10 months and I know what it is about and I know that it works.

What I Know
Wealthy Affiliate was built in order to help teach others how to build a successful online business.
Not only to teach others, BUT also to HELP others. I am sure that everyone knows that when you are beginning to create content, what you are advised to focus on.
No, it isn't MONEY or success. To help others. This is what you are taught. You are helping your readers with a problem they are having. I bet you thought I would say keywords.
Giving them a solution to the problem they are having is what will keep them coming back, or share your post/website with their friends, family and others.
Wealthy Affiliate teaches you to create, attract and solve. Create an informative website with quality content.
Attract your target audience. How do you do this? By helping them. How do you help them? By giving them solutions and helping them solve their problem.
There Is More To WA Than Marketing
If you have been here even a week I am sure that you have noticed that there is much more to Wealthy Affiliate than just a training platform. The training has brought many members success. The training definitely works.
I want you to see the other side of Wealthy Affiliate. We not only get taught by experienced entrepreneurs, we get the most advanced training, tools and support.
Do Kyle and Carson leave it at that? No. How many programs have you been a part of? Why did you leave them?
Did they supply you with additional training, or motivation? Did they make you feel that you were a person or were you left feeling alone?
These are some things that make WA more than any other program out there. There is not anther platform that I know of, that can give you everything that Wealthy Affiliate does.
Do you have a question? Get almost instant answers. It doesn't matter what your question is or what time of day/night.
Any questions that will have to do with any part of affiliate marketing, you can almost bet that someone in this community knows the answer.
Social media, analytics, traffic, SEO, targeting your audience, plugins, themes, menus, sidebars and the list goes on.
You won't get that anywhere else. Other programs have pre written response to frequently asked questions, or if you are lucky, they have a FaceBook group for you to turn to for help.
I Know More Than You
Don't take that the wrong way. Let me explain. I read a comment on a post about mentors. The comment was that this member didn't seek the help from the higher rank as Kyle suggest.
Why? According to them the higher rank didn't know anymore than that individual. This MIGHT be true, and it might not.
How does this individual know that they know as much as the higher rank? Did they ask them a question personally and not get an answer, or did they not LIKE the answer they received?
One of the great things about WA is that everyone shares their knowledge. One member may know a lot about SEO, or one may know a lot about graphics, the more they share the more we learn.
No one here knows everything. Even ambassadors and the top 200 have questions at times. That doesn't mean that they don't know anything, or that they won't be able to help you.
Not ALL of them got their rank by posting blogs and clicking on the like button for every THING they come across.
We all know something that others do not know. For what you don't know, someone here does.
I may know more than you, you may know more than me. We learn from each other and that is a beautiful thing.
For The Newbies And First Timers To A Post Of Mine
There has been a few posts about mentors who don't "mentor" and sponsors who don't "sponsor".
Don't let that stop you from getting what you came here for. This community will help you if you ask.
If you are not sure of all the places that you can go in order to get help as a premium member, please feel free to check out Help And Where To Get It.
Chances are you will also come across an awesome post or training that you will want/need to access later.
If you do and you would like to know how to save or bookmark it, you can check out my training on it.
I am adding those because we are always getting new members. Even though we have a few who are reading our post pretty regularly, we have ones that don't.
In case, you need help with either of those, then you can now access them. If you need help and aren't sure where to get it, I don't want you feeling lost.
This community is here for you, I am here for you. Don't ever forget that. If you reach out to someone and get rejected, do not let them give you the wrong impression.
There are more good people than the couple of less caring ones. There are some that are only here to build their business, and that is OK.
There are many of us who are here for our business and to help you along in the same journey. You will not find a community like this anywhere.

Great post, Lee Ann. I could not have said it better my self. The only thing I might add is...The amount of success one will experience will be directly equal to the amount of time they are willing to put in.
A little time = little or no success.
Dedication, passion and determination and treating it like a business instead of a hobby = more success than one might imagine.

I mentioned it because it's one of the areas that I have to deal with a lot, continuously. I'm trying to get a handle on it but it's hard.
I think we all reach a point where we grow tired or like Kyle said in a post, feel fatigue.
Is there a particular issue, like ideas for post, or to many other obligations?

Great post, Lee Ann! I agree with you that there aren't other programs available that offer what WA offers with the training and supportive community and a lot of long-term business building potential. Any time I've had questions (and I've had plenty of them ranging from theme to plugin issues and more) I've been amazed at how fast I have received answers. Site Support is quick too!
Some important things for new members to consider are listed below.
1) everyone has different amounts of time they can commit to building their online businesses.
2) one person's niche may grow faster than someone else's b/c they may be passionate about serving a target audience with highly sought after products, while the other person may be passionate about trailblazing in a less popular or less sought after market.
3) having WA success is like growing any "real" business in that it takes time and energy to grow it the right way. We're here to help and to celebrate one another's accomplishments whenever they happen.
You're right, it's important to be patient and to remember it is about genuinely caring about solving the problems of our target audience---not about how much money we can get out of them.
Yes, WA "is" working for me. I am almost finished with the Certification training and I have earned an Amazon commission. However, I am searching for other affiliates. The potential is there. I need to write more posts than I've had time to do and get the traffic to my site consistently. Finally, I choose to hang around positive members and spend my time and energy on working rather than on complaining about what hasn't happened yet.

Having positive influence and a positive outlook is very important, no matter where we are or what we are doing in life.
I also agree that others may taste success sooner than others for many different reasons.
It doesn't mean you won't see success, you may just reach it later.
Like you said, there are many reasons why we may take longer to reach success.
The point is, to not give up..

All true but the important question is, Have you been able to create an online business that provides a reasonable income return on your investment of time. And, $10.00 an hour isn't a reasonable income return for the significant time investment required.

Either or. I remember a few months ago this question being posted and not many responses in the positive. The few people who report making money don't participate much online I've noticed.
I am not making that yet. I will be making that soon : )

Thanks for the post, Lee Ann. It is indeed very true of what you mentioned here. The training and knowledge is truly awesome.
Besides being a premium member and working our way up, what we need is to take action. The wonderful thing being in WA is that we do not need to worry about the cost incurred in building our websites and moreover free training, support and help from WA and the community is tremendous. There are no upselling or whatsoever cost or fees that we need to commit compared to other platforms.
I am so grateful that I have found WA and may success be with all of us here.
