What Does Your Fortune Cookie Mean

Last night the family and I went to eat at our local Chinese restaurant after getting rained out for our day of boating.
It was our first time trying this place since we moved here and we don't have many places to choose from. We received our fortune cookies upon leaving. What does your fortune cookie mean?
I am not sure about you, but mine are sometimes strange and then there are times when they make complete sense. The one I received last nigh, fit right into what I am doing here at WA.
You Can Either Follow Your Fears Or Be Led By Your Passions.
Follow your fears? Shouldn't it read face your fears or something to that affect? NO, actually it is pretty much on point.
To follow your fears (the GOOD fears) means that maybe you have a decision to make or have an idea that you just can't get out of your head yet you have this enormous amount of fear.
Most of us are taught to follow our passions. As a child it may be a type of sport, our love for animals or even the desire to help others.
Most of us carry those passions with us through our teen years and even in to our adult life. Some get lucky and do jobs that also revolve around our passions.
Here at WA I followed my fears. I didn't stop searching for a legitimate online opportunity even after being scammed a few times.
I had lost quite a bit of money to other platforms that had many upsells as well. I knew there still had to be something out there that was legit and it would teach me everything I needed to know.
I am sure many of you have had similar experiences with good fear or maybe even are having this type of fear right this minute.
The uncertainty of creating a successful business to me, is a good fear. If we follow the training and implement everything correctly, does it mean we will be successful?
We all have good fears, but how many can say that they have followed their fears? Have you ever even thought about it like that?
Follow Your Fears (Good Fears)
This doesn't mean that if you are afraid of heights you need to climb the tallest building around. That would be a BAD fear.
Take your website/business for example. Most of us are here because we have the desire to be our own boss and work from home.

When you were trying to decide on your niche, were there some that you just couldn't get out of your head, but didn't do because you were afraid that others may not like it, or that it was to risky of a niche?
Follow your fears means that the reason you may not have been able to get that idea or decision out of your head, wasn't because if the fear you also had.
It may have been because of the fact that it was one that you should pursue. The fear itself was a good fear.
To determine the difference between GOOD fear and BAD fear, you should first decide if doing it will cause any harm to you physically, mentally or even financially.
If it will, then yes that is a bad fear and I would not advise that you do it. If not, then it might be something you should pursue.
When we try something new, we always have the fear of failing or maybe even being the laughingstock. We can't let that be the reason we don't give it a try.
Be Led By Your Passions
We answer questions for the new members that are having trouble deciding on a niche with " A niche is usually something you are passionate about".
Our answers are more entailed than that, but you get the point. What do you suppose would happen if we said "it might even include something you have fears about"?
I can almost bet, that response would get A LOT of ridicule. It will more than likely be taken the wrong way.
Being led by your passion, to me, gives us more of a comfort level. Which is why we find pursuing something we are passionate about easier to do.
I have combined the two since joining Wealthy Affiliate and I am sure many of you have done the same.
I am passionate about helping others who NEED to work from home, for reasons OTHER than just being lazy and expecting to live off of the government.
That is the passion that I am being led by. I am still following my fears as well. I am not certain that I will be able to help them.
By this I mean, will I get that audience to see WA the same way that we see it? Just because I strongly believe in WA and am very passionate about helping them, will I succeed?
Follow Your Fears
Working from home online with any program or platform is always risky. Here at WA the only real risk is whether you implement everything correctly.
If you have good fears, don't let that stop you from pursuing your dream of having your own online business, working from home or being your own boss.
Even if your fear is about the niche you are choosing, the product you are promoting, building your own website, or any other GOOD FEAR you will never know until you try it.
We all sometimes fail, and we all have the fear of it. If we let fear stop us, then we will never truly succeed at what we are passionate about.
I would love to know if you have followed your fears, or even if you have gotten a fortune cookie that was right. Please share with us in the comment section down below.
As always,
Wishing you the best in all you do
Lee Ann
