Hey to all. dont mean for my negativity to spread on to anyone else but just needed to get some stuff off my chest .

I have found myself over the last few weeks spending less time on wa an more time chasing a faster way to get some sales in.

I have only been at this a little over 2 months and have no intention whatsover of giving up but i feel iam being lead astray by some marketing offers hitting my inbox.

Ive started my site and have enjoyed the process so far but I keep being sucked in to old habbits of juggling to many balls at once and the last few days ive felt a little lost to be honest...

can anyone relate???

I Intend (starting this evening) to get back on with the brilliant training in here and try and get my mojo back as I believe i will get success one way or the other and will not be giving up.

Anyway enough rambelling from me, just felt the need to get my thoughts out in the open.

all the best

Lee

Hey Lee,

I can totally relate to that, especially to that "juggling to many balls at once" part. I don't want to go into all the nasty details, I blogged about it here -> I QUIT Wealthy Affiliate a year ago and returned in November, with the membership just sitting there inactive (but paid) and waiting for me to pick up where I left. I got distracted and fell prone to SOS (shiny object syndrom).

This time around, I'll do my best to hold myself accountable and not give up... It's hard sometimes, no doubt. For now, the training and the positivity of the community keep me pumped... :-)

It's good to reach out every now and then for a reality check, so I appreciate your post. You're not alone! And sometimes you give positivity, sometimes you need positivity!!! That's okay!

Keep up the good work, make a plan and stick to it!

Cheers,
chris

thanks Chris. nice to know i'm not alone with these feelings. sometimes I feel like i'm missing something and that I don't want to miss an opportunity.
It really is a minefield out there.
im gunna have a read of your blog now.
thanks again Chris.
all the best to you.

Nice response, Chris.

Thanks Carol :-) Yours is very well written and thought-out as well. It was a pleasure reading it!

Have a blast :-)

Hello, Lee. I know other people in the community have been easily distracted by "shiny objects". I am not receiving the alternative product sales pitches that you mentioned, but I can relate to being distracted.

My "shiny objects" that I'm chasing after at this time is having to get my house ready to show because I'm going to be selling it and moving. So when I'm writing, I feel like I should be painting, and when I'm painting, I feel like I should be writing!

Don't feel bad about ventilating your frustration. We call it a "rant", and it helps us keep our focus by having a way of defusing the situation by sharing our feelings.

In my humble opinion, that is not spreading negativity. It is just sharing what's going on with you, and you will find you'll receive support from the community when you need it.

I suggest that you set a small, easily attainable goal of working on one lesson for one hour sometime during the day.

If you need the structure, add the time that you will be setting aside that hour when you set your goal.

For example," I am going to work on Lesson 9 of Course 2 of the Certification Training from 7 to 8 PM on 4/21/2018".

If you're anything like me, I think you will find that the hardest part is overcoming the inertia and getting started on that lesson. Once I get started, the hour flies by, and I don't want to stop!

I think structuring yourself and actually developing some momentum will help you get your mojo back on track and help you ignore all those "shiny objects" that they make look so tantalizing.

And now, I gotta get back to my painting!

Best wishes, Lee. I know you can hurdle this obstacle and be on your way.

Carol

thanks carol. i'm sure these sort of days, (weeks) will come and go. not throwing in the towel and shall continue to learn and keep moving.

enjoy your painting. ( get some good tunes on to help it go faster)

Yeah, I gotta practice for my chorus rehearsal that's coming up on Monday night! I'll crank up the sound so I can listen to the songs we'll be performing on May 6th at our concert. Only 2 more rehearsals before our dress rehearsal with the orchestra. Yikes!
