" Much ado about nothing"

This is my first and maybe my last blog. It reminds me of social media of which I am not a big fan. Not even a cell phone. Please keep these 19th century views in mind if you read this.

WA is the happiest place outside of Disneyland. If Donald Duck came to visit we'd be #1. It took planning and effort to create this atmosphere. Those responsible deserve our thanks. Ironically, the recipients of this state have now become creators and sustainers. ,

I suggest an improvement. It has to do with following and followers. Follow according to the Oxford Dictionary means: " to come after". To me to always be behind is not a positive trait. It shows no 'leadership' (foreshadowing), creativity or initiative. It is appropriate when you come across a good iwork and you want to indicate you will use the creator as a model. Or modify and use it. It is not appropriate on other occasions. Often, people who follow somebody, that person follows them back. It's polite. This is at least confusing and logically flawed. Used in this general sense you would be following each other. The term is used in many other ways such as to indicate you like someone and so on. For me, it makes me nervous to have so many people behind. It's like an old western. If I'm running from the sheriff's posse. I'd much rather the posse consisted of 2 than a dozen. Finally, the number of times it is used. It becomes like 'nice' meaningless. I'm not saying follow should go. An additional term is needed. The one I've come up with, not the best, is 'leader'.

I think their are several advantages to having the 2 terms. First, it leader is positive. It designates the traits mentioned earlier. It also eliminates the polite follow back. Additionally, it eliminates two people following each other. It cuts down on the number of times follow is used. If you had a choice of the two terms you could carry on as usual or take this or another approach.

Hi Michael!
I like your style!
You say what you have to say! And you just say it!
But don't worry with the words they use!
This is a great and amazing community! So, enjoy it!
Alex

PS. Nice to meet you!

Michael,

Just from reading this I gather you are great person and admire you and your style. So I have to give you a Like and hope you continue here.

Yes, it's a bit robotic here at times and feel obliged, in kind, to follow and give likes and be followed and be liked gives me a great inner feeling. I don't get to interact with people like you and others that have New and different views on life, interests, experiences and can express themselves as here in WA.

Have learned a Lot here and have a lot of ideas. And yes, I lack the Leader part and have to take action on this training and ideas, build a website and limit follows and likes.

Thank you for your insights.

Cheers, Joaquin

You're really too generous. Thank you.

The concept of WA depends on people buyin h in to the.community and helping ideas. It also needs people to feel as if they are a part of something. It works and generates income for Kyle and company. I get little gems occasionally.

Hi Michael, congratulations on your first WA post. I enjoyed your insights. It is always good to have an objective point of view. It is where good ideas come from. The process can become a bit robotic. The key is to try and keep it real. When we arrive in this environment many of us just follow along. Some stand out, some learn, the best teachers are the ones whose students surpass the endeavors of the teacher. Just looking from a different perspective.
Alexander

I appreciate your insight. I don't think members will think somebody ranked around 2000 can just walk in and alter a culture. It happened to occur to me so there it is.
Not another word on this subject from me.

let's be encouraging friends

I do agree, I don't care for the terminology either. Let's me encouraging friends.

Be Blessed as You Bless Others,
jd
