Setting yourself up for success
We are all at different parts of our journeys here in WA and I wanted to share a little thought I had today. First off, I am a busy mom of two. A 9-year-old and a 10-month-old. Both keep me busy in their own ways. On top of that, I have 2 high-energy huskies that require a lot of love and attention, and a marriage that I work on every single day (because that is what we signed on for).
Now my maternity leave in coming to an end here in a very short couple of weeks, and there are no jobs in my field that fit our life right now. So, I have decided to open up a day home...so busy just turned into insane! Trying to get everything ready for March 1st, trying to find kids to watch, all while doing everything I already do, and try to be successful through WA.
We are all busy people and things will always come up, taking us away from what we really want to be doing. For me, especially being in the Super Affiliate Challenge, I really want to do my tasks each month, and juggle everything else. I have found that things are slipping though, as they will from time to time. So, as I was writing out a new post today for my site, I had a little thought. And maybe a lot of you have already been doing this, but to me...it sounded like pure genius!
I am going to start writing two to three posts (or at least starting them) every time I can make time to sit at my computer. And if I can't find that time during the day, then I will do it before bed. If I can at least have the bare bones of a few new posts, then next time I sit down, I won't have to do all the research before I start to write. I can start to build out prewritten posts that I can chose from when it comes time to post on my site! Genius right?!
So, for everyone out there that is struggling to keep up with the work it takes to build out your site with good content, try writing more than one post in a session. You don't need to post them all at once, and they don't need to be fully finished at that time. Just start writing and see where it takes you. If you can get a head by 5 or 10 posts, you will be in a great position for when life gets in the way!
Right now I have 2 unfinished posts, but they have the bare bones so I know what I will be talking about when I have the time to write it all out!
Good luck to everyone out there and I hope you all get the success you are looking for!
