What are your thoughts on psychedelics?
So, I've been doing a lot of research on the psychedelics lately. In case you don't know, the movement for decriminalization of psychedelic substances is taking strides right now. Now I know that we've all be taught that such substances are bad and illegal, but scientist are making discoveries that are quite mind blowing.
With clinical trials being done on substances found in "magic" mushrooms (psilocybin), as well as dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). Researchers are finding that they are able to treat a variety of mental health symptoms.

At 56 years old,i am one of the last hippies left.In my teenager days i had my share of mushrooms, peyote button, and LSD.I am genuinely surprised that a medical treatment may become of those "trippin" drugs.
An interesting subject Luke..
For me, if their medical benefits can be proven to help out those who could really need them, then I am all for legalisation...
But... just as a recreational drug than can destroy lives....
I would have to vote against...
Could be a great niche if one really knows what they are talking about here my friend!
I'm not a fan of them, as I think most of us already find it difficult enough to navigate the reality surrounding us from a position of sobriety.
However, I believe folks should be left alone and have the freedom of personal autonomy as long as it doesn't endanger or cause grief to society.
I'm not qualified to speak on any medicinal attributes, although logic suggests to me that folks dealing with mental health battles could just as easily get worse if their grip on reality is being purposely moved away from it.
I often wonder if part of basic schooling would be better served exploring ones perception and gaining understanding (tools) to navigate through them, especially exploring what it is within us that is the perceiver.
