Unhappy Week :(
Wow so this has been one of those weeks! I've finally had a lull and caught up from lockdown, fewer doggies this week but it has been a blessing with personal /family issues taking place so am quite thankful how it has worked out in that respect!
Sadly I started the week with a customer who decided that she wanted to stay with her dog which by all means is OK but I needed to know beforehand with the logistics of how the day works with her appointment being at 11am I would prep her dog then hubby would bath and dry then the doggie would play until I was ready to clip so all up would be around 2 hours so ideally my part wouldn't start until 12pm but she got annoyed and said I was under the impression that my dogs appointment was at 11am, I then said yes it is but that is to prep, bath and dry but with you now wanting to stay and only wanting ME to do it all I will need an hour to clip the other 2 dogs that are here, it is how the logistics of the day go............she said OK text me and I'm only down the road I'll be here in 5mins so I did.............heard nothing back nearly half an hour later still no show or text reply so I contacted her to say I'm sorry my next one is here I need to postpone...... heard nothing back so was one less that day; probably a good thing as the doggie was extremely difficult previously and with everything going on I didn't need a stressful situation.
That evening I get a message about how some mistake was made and wondering how I can be a professional groomer and not know my breeds!!!! This certainly fired my emotions as after explaining the appointment with her hubby bringing the dog and explaining what he wanted - I did what I was asked - then got the blame from the wife cos it wasn't what SHE wanted and got told I was unprofessional and all these links and web pages about breeds and how to groom them!! .................... Turned out they'd never been dog people whom brought a dog just cos and obviously knew ALL about grooming ...............somehow? Sometimes it can be extremely frustrating and of course upsetting to have your professionalism, love of your job questioned by people that don't realise they don't know what they're talking about :(
My Mini Schnauzer girl Jazzabell is now 15 and showing problems that we can't figure out and that's breaking our hearts but then she'll bound around like a puppy at times!
My nearly 3 year old daughter has to have surgery next week to remove an abscessed tooth that happened at her old daycare as an accident that wasn't seen...........she will be having general anasthetic which has her father and I on tenterhooks!
My mind was already emotionally distressed with personal medical procedures I had to wait for, the constant daily headaches I'm fighting..............then found out my granddad had a fall and broke his hip and needed a replacement!!
So this year just needs replacing!! 2020 is not as fun as it should be! I will be looking forward to everything going back to some sense of normality in the not so distant future but meanwhile it helps to just write!

Hang in there, Lauryce! My week started out badly as well, though not nearly as bad as yours, but the point is, this is how we grow! I've had my professional work lambasted before! I hope everything else going on in your life gets a little bit better!
