so, hmmm. Google indexed my site. but nothing is in in yet?

Back in the day, when I once had a small website, it took several days for the site to initially get indexed by Google. And each update, tweak, and new page upload took a few days to be discovered by the spiders and bots.

The Wordpress theme I selected for my new site must have been very well put-together, because both my sites (that I just transferred to WA a mere 24 hours ago) are now indexed by Google and out there for the world to see...

Problem is, I haven't posted a thing in one site. I haven't even picked a theme yet. But there it sits on Google anyway, just twiddling its thumbs, probably bored and waiting for me to do something with it.

It's embarrassing, that skeletal site. I suspect there's a little motivation for the new and nervous blogger, to get on with things already.

As for the other site that does have some content to add.... well, I'm still mumbling to myself and fussing with the slideshow images - and that's about all my site has to offer as of yet.

And those images? Aren't the right size just yet, so I'll spare you the awkward images that are the wrong size.

I've got the sizing problem (mostly) conquered. I created the initial slide to custom specifications on Stencil... which promptly resized my image when I downloaded it.

Who knew?

But I'll dust off my trusty old reliable PAINT.net to resize the image back to the size I need. And that will be the end of that.

Things to ponder: whether one types in the "www" or not in the URL, the page returned is indeed prefixed with the secure "https" - but without the "www dot" prefix.

I don't suppose that matters much, after all.
